Chapter thirty - She's coming soon

Lucky for us, we found a river in the far end of the forest.
"Thank goodness" I shout as I drop the bag pack and run to the river.
"I wouldn't suggest jumping into this river immediately, there might be wild aquatic animals in it" star light says, discouraging me.
I gently walk back from the river bank.
"I'm hungry" I say as I feel my stomach rumbling.
"Says the person who made us walk for hours" star light hisses.
"Look, I'm really sorry for making us leave early in the morning, but I just wanna make sure that we are safe" I apologize.
"No, it's nothing let's get something to eat now" she says but I still get the feeling that she's angry at me.
I walk over to the bag pack and bring out the last pieces of bread left. We definitely have to go food hunting today, if not, we'll have nothing to eat for tomorrow. I prepare us a sandwich as usual. I hand a piece to Star light and I start eating mine silently.
My mouth is still bitter from that plants, so I didn't enjoy the sandwich like I used to.
"You know, I'm always glad to have you by my side" I say to Star light.
"Why the sudden burst of emotions?" she asks me suspiciously.
"Nah, nothing, I was just remembering how I got sick yesterday, if it hadn't been for you, I would have died long ago" I answer.
"Well, you should just try and not to get sick again" she says, after she has finished eating the last piece of her sandwich.
"I think we have to go find some food" she says.
"Yeah, you're right, these were the last piece of bread that we ate, it's only the biscuits left and they will only be enough for just lunch and dinner" I say.
"Why don't we just go now?" she suggests.
"I don't think I can climb a tree right now, I'm totally exhausted and my body is still weak" I say.
"But you told me that you're fine earlier" she says.
"Yeah, about that" I pause and starred at her reaction.
"I just wanted us to leave that place as soon as possible, that's why I lied" I say, scratching the back my head.
"What would you have done if you have passed out on the way, I'm 220% sure I can't carry you or your bag and the thing you have been fearing about would have happened, this forest is not safe as it is, you forced us to leave the safe zone" she says in an angry voice.
"I'm really sorry, but thankfully I'm still alive and talking to you right now that's all that matter" I say.
"Yeah but please don't do that again, it will break my heart" she says.
I nod my head in assurance.
"You can lie down a bit now, I'll keep an eye" she says.
"Thanks" I say and lie down on the bare ground.
I'm feeling too weak to even make up the tent right now. I fall asleep as soon as my shoulder reaches the ground.

After some hours later
I wake up because of the breeze that keeps blowing. I sit up looking around the place.
"Where am I?" I ask.
The place seems so strange. It took some minutes for my brain to finally administer where I was.
"Welcome back to the land of the living, I thought you were never coming back" star light teases.
"What time is it now?" I ask.
"I don't know but it's definitely getting dark soon" she answers.
"What?" I shout.
"Don't you worry, I have managed to find some fruits for us, eat and make the tent for us, it's getting colder by the minute" she says.
It's like she knows what I was going to say. I'm just gonna complain about what we would be eating tomorrow.
"Thanks" I say as I get up from the ground.
My whole body is covered with dirt. It took me a while to finally get some of them off. I'm definitely gonna take a bath today. Whether star light likes it or not.
"You do look like a forest monster" she laughs at me.
"Whatever, you should just be thankful that you're a cat, if not, you'll just look as hideous as I am" I say.
I start making up the tent and within few minutes, it's done. I pick up the bag and walk inside. I pick a pair of my clothes and head outside.
"Where do you think you're going?" she asks.
"I'm going to take a bath, can't you see" I answer.
"No, you can't do that" she protests.
"I can't sleep a wink if I don't get a bath today, I've been holding it because there's no water source around and now there's one, then why can't I take a bath?" I ask her.
"OK, but just don't go deep into the water" she warns.
"OK" I answer and walkout.
"Finally, I'm gonna get some decency again" I say as I start striping off my clothes.
They also need to be washed too.

I finally decided to stop running, what's the use of it any way. I can't continue running away from my problems when they are put forward in front of me, instead, I have to face then heads up. I turn into my human form. I walk over to a tree and sit down underneath it.
What the hell is wrong with me? One minute I'm happy and the other I'm angry. It's like I'm turning bipolar or something. I gotta go back to the hospital as soon as possible. Maybe helping others will definitely get my mind off things.
I hear some movement behind. My beast instantly becomes alert and charges at the intruder. He steps on him, ready to rip the life out of him.
He turned into his human form.
"Hey, it's me Harry" he says.
I get off him and help him get up from the ground.
"So, are you ready to talk?" he asks.
"About what?" I ask him.
"Your sister came running to me for help, she said that you're in some kind of pain and you need help, that's why I followed behind you" he explains.
I did it again, I made my sister upset and worried.
Get it together Man, you're the boss here.
"I'm just worried about my pack's we'll being, since that attack, I feel like I'm not there for all of them" I kinda lie.
But on the bright side, I didn't really lied. I'm worried about them. We might underestimate those human being but they are more cunning than we can ever imagine.
"It's not your fault that attack happened, you did your best to see that the attackers are punished for what they did and that's enough" he says.
"And the attackers will soon be executed as it is, we just have to wait for at least a day or two before they are brought to us" he adds.
"Yeah, you're right" I agree with him.
I want to get this over with, then I won't have any guilt of not keeping my promise. But I will forever be hurt for killing my own mate, who decided to betray me by the way.
Out of no where, the half Oracle appears in front of us. She smiles as she sees me. I frown at her. When ever the half Oracle decides to show up, that means there's no good news in the near future, at least that's what we think.
"I'm just coming to you but thankfully I've meet you on the way" she says.
"Go away, we don't want to hear anything from you, as it is, we are in a lot of trouble now, so we don't want to be told of the unseen dangers to come" Beta Harry orders her to leave.
"Just say whatever it is you want to say" I stop her.
There's nothing in this world that can scare me right now. Or is there?
"The time is coming soon, you have to make the right decision or else" she stops.
"Or else what?" I ask impatiently.
"The whole pack will suffer along with you, not even the pack, the whole world will be put in danger if you make the wrong decision" she says.
Here she goes again, always bringing bad news.
"On the day of the full moon, the moon goddess will give you another chance, so use it wisely" she says and turns around to leave.
I'm still processing what she just told me. She turns around again.
"She's coming soon, I can feel it, her power is more than what we could ever wish for" she says and disappears into the forest.
"What is she talking about?" Harry asks.
"I don't know" I say, even though I know that she's clearly talking about my mate.
But power? Do humans really have any power that we supernatural creatures don't have? Well, they have the perishing mist to kill some of us.
When I finally come back to the real world, I see Harry staring at me with more suspicion in his eyes but he knows better than to ask me for further explanation. I walk away and he follows he from behind. I really do need to have some bath now. Then I will apologize to my sister after that.
I walk inside the house hoping that I will not have to face my sister like this. Luckily, she's not here. I guess she has retired to her room for the day. It's already dark as it is.
"Good night, Sir" Harry says.
He has decided to stay for the night, he thinks that I will decide to run away or something. I read it in his mind but he doesn't know that. Now I can know what he's thinking. But only if the matter's is regarding our pack or me.
I head up to my room and head directly into the shower. By the way, my clothes have been ripped apart when I turned into my wolf form earlier. I take my time to wash every inch of my body before walking out of the bathroom.
I change into my pajamas and head to my sister's room. I knock for a while but still there's no answer.
"Maybe she's asleep" I say to myself. I turn to head back to my room but she opens the door.
"Did I wake you?" I ask as I enter the room.
"No, I was just in the bathroom when you were knocking earlier" she says.
"I have just finished taking my meal, so I decided to brush my teeth" she adds.
"It's been a while since you ate human food" I complain.
"What's the use of having it when I don't really have the appetite" she says.
Ever since her mate died, she has stopped eating anything but blood, I guess she's loosing her sense of taste, how awful. If only there is a way I could give her mine, then I would gladly do so.
"So want brings you here?" she asks, changing the topic.
"I just came to apologize for earlier" I say in a sad voice.
I really did regret how I spoke to her. She walks over and sits besides me.
"No don't apologize, it's not your fault" she says, patting my shoulder.
"You should always feel free to tell me when something is bothering you, I'm your sister, remember and I tell you everything" she says.
"OK, I will" I say.
"Now go to sleep, we're gonna start the preparation of the festival tomorrow" I say.
"Good night" she says.
"Good night" I answer and walk out of the room.
