He suddenly put an arm around her as if to pull her away, but she stood her ground, keeping her feet planted and resisting the gentle pull on her arm. “No, seriously,” she said again, “what is that?” “I don’t know,” Trevor said. His voice sounded terse and low, almost afraid. This caused Diana to give in to the pressure Trevor still exerted on her arm, slightly, turning her face to search his eyes. She saw worry in them. “I think we need to go inside,” Trevor said. His eyes were on Anna and Lazarus, who were engaged in some deep conversation.
