Confrontatios

Hiro sat on the chair behind his desk as he stared at the laptop in front of him. Nothing seemed to be working. He straightened up and leaned in his chair. He continuously flipped the ballpoint in his left hand. He knew he was no ordinary being but that didn't explain the fact that his wolf hadn't come out right up to the age of 25. Most werewolves got their wolves when they turned 18, but he was way past that age. He was 25 but hadn't gotten anything or any signs. What could be the problem? He has been asking himself that question for the past 7 years now, but no one gave him any perfect explanations. He knew that it would be unnecessary even if he got his wolf, no one was interested in it, but he still wanted to find answers. His father had made it known to the entire pack that he was useless. A son without a wolf was useless as he couldn't run the pack without one. What if the pack was invaded and he needed to protect it? Of course, he couldn’t do that in his human form. That's why he had let Kazumi take care of the pack. He stood up from his seat and made his way to the wall mirror hanging opposite the wooden cupboard that was standing next to the door. The cupboard had different genres of books in it. He was a reader and mostly read historical books. Anger flared through him. His fingers clenched into tight fists. What wrong had he done that the mood goddess had decided to punish him that much? He stared disdainfully at the hideous mark on his cheek. It never ran out of blood. It was as though it got fresh and fresher each day he got up. "Urgh!” He growled as his fist came in contact with the wall in front of him. He pulled his fist and looked at the blood that coated his white knuckles. "What did I do wrong? What did I do?" He kept punching the wall continually. He should have just died alongside his mother and sister rather than be among a pack that hated him, a father that hated him. No one respected him. No one spoke nicely to him as they considered him to be useless. But again, there was one person. That girl with white hair. The one working for Kazumi. He had caught her more than once staring at him. Did she care or was she just curious about the mark on his face? Anger bubbled inside him. Perhaps she was just like the rest. Curious to know what had happened to his face. With that thought, he lifted his hands against the wall but stopped when he had a feeling that someone was at his door. That was one thing with him. He could pick sounds from afar and sometimes he could see the future, but no one had any idea about that, not even his father. He knew exactly who was at the door. Her heartbeat was so clear and loud. He could feel every part of it. He could detect when she was in danger. He could mind link her. He had been wondering how all of that was possible. They weren't connected in any way. She wasn't his mate. Which made everything confusing. He left the wall and made his way to his bathroom where he took a quick shower. After he was done, he stepped out of his corridor. No one was there. She must have left. What was she even doing there? He moved to his father's study which was farther down the corridor. Once he was at the door, he knocked. "Come in." His breath tightened in his chest when he heard his father's voice. He clenched and unclenched his fist. When he was certain that he was okay, he placed his left hand on the doorknob and pushed it open. "Good morning, Father." He greeted, his voice so distant. "What do you have for me so early in the morning?" His father asked, barely lifting his head from the papers placed in front of him on the table. Hiro breathing in, wondering why he was even bordering himself. Other packs could invade the spring for all he cared Yet, he still needed to do something about it. "Some rogues were at the Luminous Spring yesterday." He closed his eyes and reopened them. His mind immediately moved to Amaya. What could have happened to her, if he hadn't detected that she was in danger and came to her rescue? "The Luminous spring?" Tobias shot up his head, and his eyes turned dark. "From which pack?" He questioned, standing up like he was ready to start a war. He wasn't about to start a war like what he had done to the Wintermoon pack eight years ago. The mascara was the talk of Holbeck at that time. He wondered how his father was able to do that. The kind of spirit he had to wipe out an entire pack without remorse. He couldn't tell him, even if he knew the pack the rogues were from. He didn't want another mascara. "I have no idea." He shook his head. Tobias glared at him, Anger was evident on his face. "As useless as always. " Tobias snarled and pushed past Hiro. "Maybe you can ask Kazumi. I bet he didn't know that something like that happened. But he is meant to protect the pack." Hiro roared back. Tobias spun around, hands clenching on his sides. “You shouldn't have existed." Tobias spat out and walked away. Hiro's shoulders slumped. That was it. The hatred he didn't know where it came from. He shook his head stepped out and retired back to his room *** 'That boy seemed to be going through a lot.' Ena whispered, feeling sad. Amaya had been restless after she had heard Hiro punching something in his room. She wondered what it was and went to check it out And he was angrily pushing the wall and cursing. Not only that, she had also overheard Tobias saying that he wished Hiro never existed. Like killing his son? Perhaps killing came naturally to him, just like what he had done to her family. Those memories started rushing like a wild plague. She slumped down, her knees on the floor. Her head was buried in her hands that were folded on the bed. Tears streamed down her face. What exactly had her father done to this man? That he had to take it out on her entire pack. He wiped out everyone and took the pack and no one dared question him. Everyone was scared of him. And now he dared threaten to kill his son. Calling him useless. He had someone else running the pack even though he had a son? He was her mate. Although he hadn't made any move, she was sure of it. She could tell that he felt something if not, how could he mind link her and be able to come to her rescue? And the rogues he set on fire. How was he able to do that? She was sure she saw it but she didn't know how he was able to do it. That was her mate and his father threatening to get rid of him. Maybe she had overstayed her welcome. Maybe it was time she imposed her revenge and left before things got complicated. She didn't understand why she cared about Hiro when he was among the people she would kill. What exactly was wrong with her?
