Chapter 9 - Sofia

It's been a week since I came back and I still feel a little guilty that I didn't fulfill my grandmama's promise to her friend. She did told me she understood but I know deep inside she is sad about it. I could see in her eyes how happy she is talking about her late friend and I made that brightness in her face deemed. I continued pruning the rose bed in the garden when Reverend Grandmother Frances came running to me.  "Sister Sofia!" I look up and my smile slowly fades away. I know that look. The first time the Reverend Mother called me, she just gave me a concerned look but this, this is with a deep sorrow. The sound of the steel moving, people murmuring, wind whistling.
