It is so nice that Belyar forgot to prepare the potion. At least this way we can spend a little more time together before Valerie gets her original form back. Lucifer though happily while he carried Valerie back to his castle. On the corridors he received a few rare glances from the maids, but they were more experienced than to question their Lord's intentions. Lucifer put Valerie down in his armchair.
- What should we do today? - he asked and Valerie was about to answer, when Satan popped between them facing Lucy.
- My Lord! Pardon for the intrusion! I've brought serious news from Heaven. - Valerie tilted her head.
- How do you have info from Heaven? - she asked and Satan glanced behind him for a split second.
- Oh, My Lady is also here. So what I was about to say... - he stopped and turned around. Satan's jaw dropped.
- How?! You were, but you are here, I mean what?! - Lucifer pat Satan's shoulder. He pushed Satan down a chair and poured a drink for him.
- Send this down, and I'll explain everything. - Satan did as suggested and when his nerves were calmer he listened carefully for the explanation. When Lucy ended the story Satan laughed and there was a wicked shine in his eyes.
- Oh that bastard mist be really pissed now! - he said.
- Who? - Valerie asked and Satan hit his knees while he laughed.
- Azrael! I would pay a high sum if I could see his face when he'll realize that you are still alive!
- Why is this so funny? - Valerie asked because she genuinely didn't understand the situation. Lucifer leaned against his desk and while Satan kept laughing he explained.
- Azrael is the angel of Death. He is somehow, father's exterminator, if we could say that way. Normally if he kills someone with his sword that person dies. - Valerie touched her chest where Azrael pierced it through and shivered a bit.
- Well, next time if we meet I'll get his sword, melt it down and make a nice necklace of it. - Lucifer grinned.
- I think I know what we will be doing today Darling. - he said and stepped to a drawer. He pulled out Azrael's broken sword and handed it to Valerie.
- We can melt it in the fire of Hell and then you just have to leave it to me. - Valerie gasped as she touched the sword that took her life. It didn't look that terrifying now. She was angry with herself, Azrael shouldn't be able to hurt her.
- Thanks! Let's go! - Valerie said and jumped up but Satan got in their way.
- I have to tell you this My Lord before you leave. - Lucifer nodded.
- Jophiel from today is officially a guardian angel. Gabrielle has been punched by the Lord because she opposed to him and said that Azrael is the one who should be apologizing. - Valerie smiled widely.
- I think I know who is my favorite Lucy sibling! She is that slightly older lady from the other day right? - Lucifer nodded.
- God's first born. She got the duty to be a messenger between Father and humans. Gabi spent lots of time down on Earth and always brought something interesting for us. But none of my other siblings were interested in these artifacts. I really love her. - Lucifer said and his eyes widened.
- What's wrong? - Valerie asked but Lucifer didn't say a word only hugged her. After he calmed down a bit he leaned down to look right into Valerie's eyes.
- Thank you Darling. Because of you, I can feel those feelings I thought I've lost forever. I remembered that I love my siblings, but I didn't feel my love towards them for ages. - Satan smiled and he continued.
- God threatened Gabrielle but she left him hanging there. I swear My Lord, she almost flipped a bird to him. - Lucifer laughed.
- That's Gabi for you! - Valerie giggled.
- I thought you were the rebellious one! - Lucifer's laughter stopped and he smiled bittersweetly.
- Yeah, well, if you can call that a rebellion. - Valerie thug his sleeve and asked with puppy eyes.
- What happened back then? I only know what I've read and learned in my human life. They could be lies as well. - Lucifer sighed and Satan gently pat Valeire's shoulder.
- The Lord doesn't talk about that time. - Valerie nodded but Lucifer suddenly picked her up and walked with Valerie to his armchair. He sat her across his lap and asked.
- What have you learned? - Valerie looked pensive, Lucifer's right hand rested on her slim back and the left behind his head.
- That an angel of God who was in authority in the presence of God, who rebelled against the Only Begotten Son whom the Father loved and who was in the bosom of the Father, was thrust down from the presence of God and the Son. - Lucifer's eyebrow ran up and he snapped his fingers.
- I have to drink for this sorry. - Satan brought a stronger type of liquor for him than his usual whiskey and after Lucifer drank it, he wiped his lips. Valerie couldn't take her eyes off of his lips and she wanted to taste the liquor but she held herself back. It was comfy enough to be so close to Lucy for now. She secretly inhaled his scent and watched the colors of his eyes. How different shades of red and gold played all together, like a gorgeous sunrise.
