Chapter 1- Drifted in Love

Twelve years later, Phevy graduated as a Medical Student. She worked at ProHealth Medical Center as a Pathologist and she was a successful doctor in ProHealth Medical Center.

"Good morning doc!" The guard greeted her as she went in the hospital.

"Good morning!" She smiled at him and rushed towards the laboratory.

"Good morning everyone. I brought some snacks!" Phevy raised her hands with some doughnuts, chips, and some coffee.

"Thank you doc. Your the best!" everyone thanked her and grabbed their snacks.

After their break they continued their work in the laboratory.

"Doc this are all the specimens that are needed to be passed today. They are from the emergency section. And tomorrow there will be a frozen operation at 3:00 in the morning." Adriel said as he handed her 2 boxes of slides and a pile of paper.

"Don't worry I'll make sure to finish this as soon as possible." Phevy gave him a wink and started her work.

In the middle of her work she received a text message. It was a message from her boyfriend, Noah.

Noah❤️:

Hey love! Are you busy?

Phevy?:

A little bit. Why?

Noah❤️:

Let's have a date. Since I'm very busy last week, I want to catch up things with you!?❤️

Phevy?:

Ok! But before we go...

I need to finish my work.?

Noah❤️:

Sure love! I'll pick you up at 7 pm. I love you!?

Phevy?:

I love you too!❣️

At exactly 6:30, Phevy finished the last slide.

"Adriel I'm done now! You can pass this to the Emergency section." She handed the slides and the diagnoses to Adriel. "I'll go home early so please make sure to lock the office, ok?"

"Sure doc! No problem... Bye!"

Phevy took a glance at her watch to check the time.

"It's 6:45... So I have 15 minutes to do some makeup." Phevy thought to herself.

After putting some light makeup she sat tight at the lobby and waited for Noah to arrive. Noah arrived on time but in an unfamiliar car.

"Not again! He bought another one?!" Phevy murmured.

As she went in the car, Noah held her hand and said "I love you" for no reason.

"I love you too!... So where are we going bigboy? Phevy asked.

Secret! Just wait and see!" He chuckled.

"But I want to know!" Phevy whined.

Noah gave her a wink and focused on the way. After 20 minutes Noah stopped the car and put a handkerchief on the eyes of Phevy.

"Why do you need to put this thing?" Phevy complained.

"It's a surprise love!" He then tied a tight knot.

When they have reached the place, Noah parked the car in the parking lot and assisted her while walking. Noah let her take off her blindfold but, when she untangle her blindfold, Noah was nowhere to be seen and she is standing at the front door of Noah's house. She opened the door with the spare key that Noah has given her and saw a note at the floor. She picked it up and read silently.

She immediately followed the arrows and saw another note at the top of a medium sized box.

She opened the box and saw their pictures from highschool up to the present time. At the back of the last picture there's a note saying:

CLUE: SOMETHING BIG

SOMETHING RED

SOMETHING HIDDEN

SOMETHING OLD

"Hmmmmm. Something hidden? Something red... I guess..... It's the old barnhouse!" She guessed.

Phevy brought the box with her as she went to the old barn house at the middle of the corn field. The barn house was full of lights and there was a small table at the middle with some envelopes on top. Then she spotted another note hanging on one of the lights.

THE LETTERS AT THE TOP OF THE TABLE ARE OUR LETTERS WHEN I WAS AWAY FOR A LONG TIME. I REALLY APPRECIATE THAT YOU WRITE BACK AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE IT.❤️

THIS IS THE LAST NOTE... SEARCH FOR A BOX :)

She then search all over the place for the box but she found nothing. So, she went back to the table and read those letters again. As she read those letters, she notice that there was an unopened envelope.

"I thought I had the last note" She thought to herself.

She quickly grabbed the envelope thinking that it's another clue. She opened it and she was shocked when she read the 3 words written on it.

Will you marry me?" Noah asked.

Phevy turn around and saw Noah on his knees.

"Phevy, you know that we have faced many challenges and trials in our relationship. I'm very busy and didn't even spend enough time with you. I'm really sorry. Phevy, I wanted to spend my lifetime with you, to be your source of happiness, to be your partner, to be the father of your future kids, and most of all....... to grow old with you. Phevy Martinelli, will you be my wife?" He asked nervously.

"Noah.... I-i'm s-sorry but it's a---"

"It's okay... I understand that your not ready." He interrupted.

"Let me finish my sentence first silly." Phevy giggled when she saw the reaction of Noah. I'm sorry but..... It's a YES!"

Noah's face lit up and he cried because he's so happy. "Yes! Yes!", He shouted with joy. "Let's eat now. I prepared alot of food and most of them are your favorite. I cooked alot of food since you are a busy doctor and I know that my baby is hungry." He said proudly.

"Awww! You're so kind sir... You know me so well!" She playfully bowed.

"No need to thank me, my lady. It's always a pleasure to serve you!" He jokingly played along and led her to the table.

Noah served the dishes that he cooked for Phevy. While they are eating, Noah was very happy that he couldn't concentrate to eat. He couldn't believe that sooner he will be married to the girl that he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

"Oh by the way, how was your trip in Italy?" Phevy asked while eating a mouthful of pasta.

"Hmmm. It was great but it will be fantastic if you're there." He replied jokingly. "I met other chefs there and their food is super delicious!

"Awww really? How I wish I could go there." Phevy sighed and the things that Noah said made her mouth watery.

"We could have our honeymoon there if you want." Noah whispered to himself.

"Can you repeat what you said mister?"

"N-nothing nothing just forget it."

"I actually heard what you said. It's an awesome idea to spend our time there after the wedding. And lastly, please lower your voice when you whisper because it's too loud." Phevy laughed at Noah.

After eating, Noah grabbed a small box and gave it to Phevy.

"What's this?"

"Just open it."

Phevy opened the box and she saw a car key similar to the car that Noah bought.

"A car key? For me?" She looked astonished.

"That car was for you." Noah said pointing at the car's direction. "Since I won the competition there at Italy I thought of giving you a special present as soon as I go back here. I bought it for you because I don't want you to commute anymore."

"Really? But it's too expensive... I can't acce-"

Phevy it's a present and I'll be your husband soon. We will be sharing lots of things in the future. I love you and I want my soon-to-be wife to be safe and comfortable." Noah cupped Phevy's face and kissed her passionately.

3 months later

While brushing her teeth, Phevy stared at the calendar to see the schedules then, she noticed that her younger sister is going to be married the next week. Luckily she doesn't have any other schedules for that week so she texted Noah.

Phevy: Good morning love! How's your sleep? Don't forget to eat ok? By the way are you going to attend my sister's wedding?

Noah: Sorry but I'm busy and I have important stuffs to do.

Phevy: Oh ok. I understand. I'll be attending with my friends then. I'll be going to Hawaii next week. I love you so much!

*It's the first time Noah didn't reply. Maybe he's really that busy.* Phevy thought to herself.

Everyday Noah was getting colder and colder. He was busy a the time and had many excuses. One day Phevy couldn't take it any longer. She went to Noah's house and saw that he was with someone else. Instead of confronting Noah she just ignored the whole thing and pretended she didn't see anything. What's important to her is that they are getting married soon. Phevy prepared to go to her sister's wedding at Hawaii. Her sister also invited some of Phevy's classmates; Jacynth Cruise, Joy Mel Wei, and Divine Pierce. The 4 of them took the same plane going there.

Chongkwaylah Airport

(one week later)

*Calling the attention of all the passengers of Cloud Airlines, flight number 5JE 6318 via Hawaii, please proceed to Gate 5 for boarding. Again, calling the attention of all passengers of Cloud Airlines 5JE 6318 via Hawaii, please proceed to Gate 5 for boarding. Thank you!*

"That's our plane, right? Divine asked.

"Yes, let's go so that we can avoid waiting in the long line." Joy said gathering her stuff and stood up ready to go.

The four of them went to the boarding gate and settle their things on the plane. The plane was on its position to take off when the pilot asked a little delay for their take off.

*To all passengers of Cloud Airlines this is Captain Jo Borges as your pilot for this flight. We really apologize for the delay because we had some technical issues. We will be taking off as soon as it will be fixed. Thank you*

(15 minutes later)

*Ladies and Gentlemen thank you for waiting. We will now be taking off Cabin crew be ready for take off.*

The plane flew smoothly at first but after a few minutes something went wrong. The engines are burning and the tail of the plane was on fire . Everyone inside the plane started to panic. Phevy texted her parents, her sister , and Noah her last words incase she won't survive. Divine and Tricia are nowhere to be found, and Jacynth is also calling her parents. After 7 minutes the plane exploded, Divine and Tricia got burned while trapped at the restroom, Phevy and Jacynth are still on their seats unconscious. They accidentally bumped their head to a big falling luggage and Phevy's seatbelt was untangled. The impact was so hard that everything went black.
