Many landlords have strong prejudices and often hostilities when it comes to selecting tenants. Their dislikes can be just as strong as Bruno’s. This is one that struck me as odd. I encountered it when I signed up a new landlord.
He owned a charming three-bedroom villa unit that had just been painted throughout, with new carpet and curtains in the lounge. It was in one of those semi-circles with the drive down the middle and the villas built on each side of it. This one was right at the end. It is an ideal place to be because no one drives past it. The owners corporation maintained the front gardens and the tenants had to look after their own private back area. A good rental property.
