Chapter 17 These negotiations take us to lunch time. I try to bring my lunch most days. It is a bit of a chore sorting it out in the morning, but now I have a mortgage, these little economies still need to be part of my life. I tell myself it is worth it. I don’t practise the economy on Monday. Monday doesn’t need the extra stress of thinking about lunch at breakfast time. Yesterday I didn’t get my act together, but this morning I was organised. I’m in the kitchen fishing my boring chicken salad out of the fridge. I need to keep the carbs down, especially after last night’s parma. Vince wanders in to toast his sandwich.
