I excused Declan from the meeting, and finished speaking to my parents, mate and betas. I needed their input because it affected them as much as it did us.
"I think I have a solution to some of our problems," mom said. "Maddix, I think you and Maggie should take over now, and hold the throne for Sterling. I think if we leave it vacant, and leave the capo as the final decision maker, it gives them too much power. They are already one of the most powerful packs in the world, and this would just make them stronger. We can't have that. It's too risky. So, tell them that you and Maggie have decided to rule
