Viltarin decided to summon Kalliste to his workspace. This situation was never what Kalliste expected. She understood what Viltarin was going to say, and she was sure she wouldn't be able to hear it. She was confused. She didn't know what to tell Viltarin. Kalliste couldn't possibly say that she was Alpha Kenric's mate. She didn't want her cover to be blown. She would not only get punished by Viltarin, but she was most afraid of Kenric being disappointed in her, and she would lose Kenric. She will not get love from anyone. Kalliste stared at the white floor all the way to Viltarin's workspace. She followed Osias, who had a brilliant smile on his face as he said Alpha Viltarin wanted to see her. She was sure that Beta Osias already knew the truth. Oh, Kalliste hasn't heard from the omegas. She was pretty sure the omegas were talking about her and Viltarin right now. She didn't know what facial expression to use when she met them. Kalliste closed her eyes as Osias stopped in front of Alpha's door. She could feel her heart beating three times faster. She wasn't ready. She should have pretended to have a headache and chose to sleep, but surely Viltarin wouldn't give up calling her. They should meet to talk about them. Osias turned to Kalliste, who lowered her head. He hesitated to say something to Kalliste. He thought he should warn Kalliste about Alpha's behavior so that Kalliste wouldn't misunderstand. He glanced at Alpha's workspace door and saw two warriors guarding the room. He scratched his head. He was bewildered. Osias was surprised when he and Kalliste accidentally made eye contact. Reflexively he shifted his gaze in another direction. Kalliste raised an eyebrow. She was confused. Hadn't they arrived in front of Alpha Viltarin's workspace? Why didn't Beta Osias let her in? Should she knock on the door and open the door herself? "Beta, why are we standing here?" She asked to be sure. Beta's behavior looks suspicious. Osias chuckled. He felt awkward. "I'm sorry, Luna. I didn't mean to be impolite to you." He drew closer to Kalliste, who stepped back and looked at him timidly. "I'd like to tell you about Alpha." He whispered, hoping Alpha wouldn't hear him. "Alpha has a slightly different attitude toward women. I'm not sure how to put it. Alpha keeps his distance from women. You should not have strange or negative thoughts about Alpha. He is different from what people see." Osias smiled widely at Kalliste. Kalliste frowned. Why did Viltarin distance himself from women? What did Beta Osias mean by saying that to her? Maybe because she is Alpha Viltarin's mate. Ok. Kalliste would prove what Osias meant. Osias knocked on the door and heard Viltarin's voice ordering them to enter. Osias opened the door for Kalliste, who was walking stiffly like a robot. Kalliste not only felt her drum-like heart but also felt fear and confusion. Osias pointed to the sofa for Kalliste to sit on it, and he interrupted Alpha, who was reading the file. "Luna has come, Alpha. Please stop what you are doing. You must say everything clearly, Alpha. I support you!" He whispered to Viltarin. Viltarin stared at him flatly. "Don't add to my nervousness." He hissed. Osias laughed and left the room. Kalliste sat down uncomfortably on the couch. She stared at the table, her fingers intertwined, and glanced at Viltarin. Her heart was beating uneasily. The cold room was getting colder. She wants to leave here. Five minutes passed, and Viltarin was still sitting in his chair and reading files. Alpha Viltarin seemed to have forgotten her presence here and ignored her. She remembered Beta Osias had said that Viltarin keeps his distance from women. If that was the case, why had Viltarin summoned her? Kalliste didn't feel comfortable here either, and it was better for her to act like she didn't know Viltarin was also her mate. Because Kalliste always expected love from Kenric. Her wolf won't talk to her because she still thinks about Kenric and refuses to erase Kenric from her heart and mind. Viltarin closed his eyes and lowered his head. He felt his legs not moving, maybe because he hesitated to step closer to Kalliste and talk about them. He suddenly found it hard to breathe, but the sweet smell of Kalliste's body calmed him down. Maybe what Ryu said was right; Kalliste was the medicine he needed all along. 'You can do it, Rin. I believe you can. You can smell her fragrant body, and you feel the scent can calm your heart. She is not only our mate, but she is also your medicine.' Ryu gives Viltarin a pep. He will never tire of pushing Viltarin to come out of his trauma. Viltarin has been trapped in his bad memories for too long. Viltarin took a deep breath and let it out slowly. He raised his head to look at the seated and pensive Kalliste. The woman wearing the blue long-sleeved shirt was his mate. The woman came to his house to apply for a job, and it turned out that destiny brought them together. It seems the Moon Goddess wanted to see his reaction when he met his mate and hoped he would change. Viltarin slowly walked over to the sofa and sat in front of Kalliste. He's nervous. He strung together the words he was going to say to Kalliste. He never spoke to a woman other than business. He licked his dry lips. He brought his fingers together and placed them on his thighs. His straight back. He was tense, as if he was in a meeting room. Kalliste felt Viltarin's extremely strong aura, and it made her cringe. Kenric and Viltarin had the aura of a terrifying Alpha. She had almost forgotten that Viltarin was Kenric's enemy. Their wolves were known to be ferocious on the battlefield, but Viltarin was unlike Kenric, who almost targeted everyone as his enemy. For several minutes no one spoke; they were busy with their own thoughts and feelings. It was so quiet in the room that they could hear the sound of birds chirping by the window. 'Are you two cosplaying into statues? Why are you two silent? Oh, gosh. You should strike up a conversation, Rin.' Ryu rebukes Viltarin. He shook his head, dizzy. Viltarin clears his throat. Okay, he'll be brave. He had to face his fear and anxiety. Like the wise words, he often hears, 'You are your own worst enemy'. He looked at Kalliste, who lowered his head. "I called you because I have something to say. You sure understand what I want to say. We are mates." Vitarin exhaled through his mouth. His heart was pounding really fast. He just wanted to say this, though. Kalliste's body froze. Viltarin confirms her being his mate. She could no longer deny and ignore. She has two mates. Both are Alphas. What should she do? She had decided not to tell Kenric and Viltarin. She will keep this a secret. Only Irene knows. "I know, Alpha." Kalliste scratched her hand. She found no other words. "I, I do not doubt you, but I'm the type who wants to get to know someone first. I'll mark you and marry you when I really know you." Finally, Viltarin has a logical reason. A reason that would not make Kalliste feel bad for him not marking it immediately. Kalliste was surprised. She forgot about marking! Because Kenric hasn't marked it yet. Kalliste turned gloomy, but she could heave a sigh of relief that Viltarin wasn't marked her now. So she didn't have to think hard to find a reason to refuse. "I understand, Alpha. I'm not going to push you. To be honest, I find it strange because I'm just an omega. It's a miracle I have an Alpha mate." Kalliste was shocked by her own words. She just realized. It turned out that she was very lucky because both her mates were Alpha. She's just an omega who doesn't deserve to be Alpha's companion. Viltarin was annoyed to hear Kalliste's self-deprecating words. "I don't mind it. Besides, I will marry and mark you when I know you well. I will also postpone the announcement about you being my Luna." Viltarin noticed Kalliste's seemingly normal reaction. "I understand, Alpha." Kalliste was secretly happy. With it like this, she is not tied to Viltarin, and no one knows who Luna is in this pack. If Viltarin announced it, Kenric would know for sure, and she would lose Kenric. Surely Kenric will reject her. She didn't want that to happen. Viltarin breathed an exaggerated sigh of relief that he had said everything. He managed to get out of the feeling that shackled his heart. Kalliste contemplated in front of the open window and the wind blowing her shoulder-length hair. She had only been here two days, and she had made the window the coziest place to muses. All of this is really not as expected. She often heard that a werewolf had more than one mate, and she wished she wasn't like that. She only wants to love one person. Kalliste scratched her itchy nose. Even though she has two mates, neither wants to mark her. Kenric is embarrassed to have an omega mate, and Viltarin wants to get to know her first. Why is all this so troublesome? Kenric and Viltarin are enemies. Why are they her mate? Her life destiny is very strange and confusing. 'Isn't this very strange, Irena? I am Kenric and Viltarin's mate. They were enemies and I seemed to stand between them. Did the Moon Goddess send me to reconcile them? But I just want Kenric to love me.' Kalliste argued with herself. The wolf Kalliste let out a long breath. She is too lazy to respond to Kalliste, who still loves Kenric. Even though she was surprised when Viltarin didn't immediately mark Kalliste, Viltarin said he wanted to get to know Kalliste, meaning Viltarin was better than Kenric. 'Viltarin accepts you who is an omega. Unlike Kenric, who ignored you.' 'Kenric will love me.' 'Good grief. I don't understand what made you love that man so much.' 'You know what causes it, Irena.' Irene rolled her eyes. He felt tired of arguing with Kalliste. Kalliste patted her forehead. "Oh no. I forgot to tell Alpha Kenric! Yesterday I was busy thinking about Alpha Viltarin, who is also my mate." Kalliste ran towards her bag, which was on the nightstand. She took her cell phone. She called Kenric three times, but she didn't pick up. "Why didn't he pick up my calls?" Kalliste panicked and confirmed the number she dialed was Kenric. 'He must be busy with the hot girls in the nightclub or at his house.' Irena said curtly. Kalliste ignored Irena's words. Then she tried to message Kenric; she gave information about her working as Viltarin's personal chef. Her heart pounded like a drum waiting for Kenric's answer, and her lips curved into a smile. From today until the mission is over, she will often communicate with Kenric! Ok, great job. I'm waiting for the information from you. Kalliste smiled widely, and she felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach. She was sure Kenric would be proud to have a mate like her.
