Allison’s cell phone rang just as she was settling down to watch an episode of Orange is the New Black. It was Dave.
“Allison, I’m so grateful you picked up. We are extremely short because they had to cancel the traveler’s contract at the last minute. Can you please come in?”
Allison knew they really needed help if he called. He was always so nice to her that she had a hard time saying no to him.
“How bad is it?”
“Bad. Everyone is tripled, and we have admissions waiting in the ER and PACU. If you could come in it would really help out,” he pleaded.
