They reached a large, old house on the outskirts of town. “This is it,” Alex said. “The Blackwood Inn. My family has owned it for generations.” Emma looked up at the imposing structure, its gothic architecture both beautiful and intimidating. “It’s… incredible,” she whispered. “Come on, I’ll show you to your room,” Alex said, leading her inside. The interior was just as impressive, with dark wood paneling, antique furniture, and ornate chandeliers.
