EPOSIDE THIRTEEN

SEVEN MONTHS LATER

Ever since he learnt the truth he told Jane off saying he could never love another except Mimie. Jane was angry but she left and hasn't come around again. He finally gave up on reaching out to Mimie and concentrated on his job since she decided to never see or talk to him again. He was promoted and now is the General manager at the company he works in

Jane noticed changes. She was told Mimie resigned then when she went home, she noticed Mimie has moved out. later on Sharon too moved out leaving her alone in the three room apartment.

Mimie has been doing well and is planning to start work at her dad's company assisting her elder brother Bob. She hasn't heard from Jason since she had blacklisted his number and the others he used in calling her till he stopped. she hasn't seen or heard from Jane which she is thankful for

Nadia finally got married with Sharon Mimie and Bob in attendance but they didn't invite Jane. Sharon and Nadia have been there for their friend Mimie. They will meet up on most weekends while other weekends , they will spend it at each other's house. it's either Nadia and Mimie are the ones coming over to Sharon's, Nadia and Sharon going over to Mimie's or Sharon and Mimie going over to Nadia's

AT THE FOTSO'S RESIDENCE

I know you are but I don't wanna call you anything esle and besides I've missed you too much

Bobby I know......okay just give me this weekend and i promise you I will come take over my position this coming Monday

Good morning Sonia. What is today schedule?

she read out his schedule careful before bringing in his coffee.

Thanks and Sonia can you please tell everyone to meet me at the conference room I do have an announcement to make

FEW MINUTES LATER

Everyone is gathered at the conference room as Bob makes his way to his seat.

BOB

Good morning everyone and I'm sorry for this sudden meeting but it's important I let you all know before hand. We all know the vice president hasn't been on seat and present physically in the company for a while right? But she has always part take in all decisions making and has been an asset to this company and one of the reasons why the company is what it is today. So I want to happily inform you all that, she will finally be joining us this coming Monday

Everyone clapped for they have been waiting for the vice president for a very long time. No one knows who she is and even during important and crucial conference meetings, she is present but only on an audio call.

DIRECTOR MARSHALL

We are all happy she is joining us. we all know how much input she's given to this company and not forgetting when we were in a dilemma without her brilliant ideas and plans, we won't be here today so we are really happy she is finally gracing us with her presence

BOB

Thank you Director Marshall and I want everyone of you to accord her the same respect and trust you have given me all these years. GM Douglas hope you do not mind being in charge of the arrangements regarding her office and everything since you will be reporting directly to her

JASON

Mr Fotso it will be an honor doing that

BOB

Okay that's that meeting dismiss and thank you for your cooperation and understanding

They left the conference room heading to their various office when Jason overhead some staff talking about the mysterious vice president.

Dani do you who she is ?

STAFF DANI

All I heard was that she is the daughter of very close family friend and the love of his life who he has been pursuing for a long time

STAFF CHERRY

I see ......but why is she just joining now?

STAFF DANI

She never wanted to be part of the company so I can only think of one possibility why she is now joining

Ummhmm and I heard she is so so pretty reason why our ceo hasn't looked at any of us or any other girl out there

They went their separate way while Jason became more curious about the mysterious vp.

The girls are spending it today at Mimie's. They are all out at the swimming section relaxing and chatting.

Girl I can't believe you finally gave in

MIMIE

Neither do I but I think it's time I take on my responsibilities

While you guys can't believe she is stepping in, I knew she would one day but what I can't still believe is that Nadia is married (They all laughed) No don't laugh seriously I'm finding it hard to come in terms with this reality

NADIA

Okay now you are one to talk yeah? okay cool cuz I can't still believe you are still not telling us who you are a f*****g secretly

Nadia said Smirking. Mimie has her mouth open with shock written all over her face while Sharon eyes went wide with terror evident in them

MIMIE

Wait you mean she has been seeing someone behind our backs?

NADIA

umhm. she has been for a year and some months now. Shock right. .....you think I won't find out huh? And I know exactly who she has f*****g behind our backs

MIMIE

Wao.......I'm really curious but I wouldn't wanna hear it from you Nadi. If Sharon here was ready she would have told us but since she hasn't then I believe she isn't so when she is ready she will tell me right Shar? (She asked looking at Sharon smiling)

SHARON

(She gave a tight smile) Of course Mimie I will tell you when I'm definitely ready I promise

Bob joins them

Hey girls hope you do not mind me joining

NADIA

Not at all Bob

Nadia responded with a sly smile playing on her lips as she looks at Sharon who is know looking everywhere but Nadia. Bob makes his way and sits beside Sharon who is trying so hard not to move away from the scrutinizing gaze of Nadia while Mimie enjoying her drinks oblivious to what's happening

Mimie come help me let's get more snacks

Nadia understands Sharon and Bob needs to talk so she uses this as an excuse to take Mimie away and give them some time to talk

SHARON

Bob What are you doing?

BOB

SHARON

Do you want Mimie finding out about us like this?

BOB

I've told you that I love you and I know my sister will understand even if it's you her best friend

SHARON

I'm scared okay.....I really do not want to loose my friendship with her

So are you choosing her over me?

SHARON

Then what are you saying Sharon? tell me cause I'm tired of the this hide and seek game you call a relationship. I want to show my girlfriend off i want everyone to know the wonderful girl I'm in love with and how much I love her why can't you understand this

He closed the distance between them and kissed her. she tried pushing him away but he was not taking no for an answer so she eventually gave in to the passionate kiss. They heard glasses shattering as Sharon quickly distanced herself from Bob in search of the noise when her gaze met that of a shock Mimie

SHARON

Mimie? she whispered eyes wide scared

MIMIE

what's going on here ?

BOB

Princess let's talk inside

MIMIE

I wasn't talking to you Bob. Is he the guy you have been f*****g? the one Nadi was talking about? Is he?

She asked Yelling. Hearing the commotion, Nadia rushed to see what's happening

BOB

Don't you dare raise your voice at her Gisele (He warns sternly )

Oh Wao it has now come to you talking to me like that because of her huh?

BOB

I love her sis and you are the reason she has been resisting and not wanting us to be together or go public. Can't you be happy for me your brother and your best friend?

MIMIE

I won't accept your relationship never

BOB

Why huh? why? Is it because your love life is a mess and because you couldn't find love or because that guy what is his name again. .....rejected you?

SHARON

Bob! She yelled angrily

MIMIE

You told him right? I guess you have told him everything. How could you? You know the reason why I wanted to be on my own right.....? but you still told him (She said crying )

SHARON

Mimie is not like that I swear

MIMIE

(She held up her hand at her) Save it i do not wanna hear it. she leaves

NADIA

That's so low of you Bob I didn't expect that from you. Sharon talk to your man and you both should fix this. Nadia leaves

SHARON

What have you done?

BOB

I'm sorry i didn't mean to. I was pissed when she said she won't accept us

SHARON

it doesn't matter you shouldn't have said it now she has another reason to be mad at me

BOB

I'm not the one you should be saying sorry to. Gosh you just ruined everything

she walks away with Bob following suit still apologising
