Still in a state of thought Yuna took an item that looked like a remote from her pocket, then she pressed the button on the remote. Instantly a low platform in the middle of the building appeared from the floor, along with a plain doll in the shape of an adult human that was set up right in the middle of the platform.
"What's the dummy for?" he wondered.
"Training dummy, for your current training, we'll try all types of mana applications as well as find out your mana affinity," Yuna replied.
Then Yuna swung her sword towards the dummy, instantly a wave of blue flame formed with the same trajectory as the swing of her sword, burning the affected dummy instantly, even though it was burning the dummy was not scorched or damaged at all.
"The doll is made from a collection of mana stones obtained from Abyss monsters of grade A and above, so it naturally has high durability, even an Ex-tier Awakened has to use at least 50% of its power to destroy this," Yuna walked to the doll that was still burning and stretched out her hand, the fire that was burning was instantly sucked into Yuna's palm and disappeared.
"Eh, the fire can be sucked like that. That means her affinity is fire, wonder what mine are," he thought.
"Now, we're going to find out your mana affinity, for me, I can figure it out because at that time I was in a dangerous situation so suddenly I was able to control mana and turned into blue flames, but after that I got complications because I immediately used mana in my body without any circulation at all. So, I was in the hospital for almost a week," Yuna explained.
"No wonder she's really stressing about making mana cores in my body," he thought to himself.
"Well it's all in the past, now I already understand a little about how to release your affinity potential, it's all thanks to your grandfather, you know. Without further ado, you've seen how I made it before, right? Just try it first, later I'll tell you where the problem is," Yuna continued.
Jyu's surroundings shone bright gold again and he closed his eyes to focus his mana around his body instead of inside his body in hopes of making something out of it.
"Okay. It's already been released, now what? Manifestation? Hmm. Let's start from the elements in nature. Fire, water, wind, earth, electricity, light, darkness? Not the elements of nature, or am I still doing it wrong?" Jyu muttered in his mind.
Jyu looked at Yuna not seeing any change in her eyes or demeanour indicating he was still on the right path.
"I have an idea," he thought.
Jyu extended his hand and pointed it at the dummy, back in his focus mode he tried to shoot something out from his hand using the manifestation of his mana.
He closed his eyes focusing the mana he had originally expelled back into his body and flowing into his hand. A few seconds passed, he opened his eyes to see his target.
*PHEW*
The surge of wind like a car speeding down the track, made Jyu slightly recoil and closed his eyes again, even Yuna who was a little far beside him also had to cover it a bit.
*CLANK*
The incident lasted a split second, no one could see what had just happened.
However, the result was clear, the so-called hard dummy got the most recent decoration on its left shoulder.
"Jyu—What did you just do," Yuna exclaimed, shocked by what she saw. The specially made dummy was able to get a small c***k. She immediately rushed to the front of the dummy, and saw Jyu's mana residue in the c***k.
"Wow. I'm strong, aren't I?" Jyu muttered while noticing himself.
"What were you thinking about?" Yuna asked.
"I was just thinking. How can I use my mana to do something about it," Jyu explained.
"Hmmm. Interesting, that means you're more of a caster," Yuna pointed out.
Hearing something new again, Jyu asked, "Caster?"
...
5 years passed after the world changed due to the arrival of the Abyss and the emergence of the Awakened. They were originally only categorised as one unit, but since the start of the use of ranks and the emergence of guilds around the world, the AGF made a regulation which would make it easier for them to classify their Awakened, that's where the two categories, Augmenter and Caster, were created.
With a confused face he asked and of course Yuna immediately answered, "Simply put, a caster is an Awakened who uses his mana for 'magic' which has a direct effect on the target, for example what you did earlier."
Caster is a class or category officially created by AGF, as the name implies they are Awakened who are able to cast or cause a phenomenon to the desired target. Usually they use mana to manipulate into a projectile or make the target in an adverse state.
"So, what are you?" asked Jyu curiously.
"I'm an augmenter, the opposite of a caster whose effect is on ourselves or the media we touch," Yuna replied.
In contrast, Augmenters do not target others but themselves or the medium they use, for example the fire sword that Yuna uses. In addition, usually Augmenters are able to use Mana Strengthening better than Caster and can manifest their mana in their affinity form so that they will become stronger than without using it.
Even so, all Awakened can do everything, it's just that not all can be proficient, so it is separated depending on which ability is more inclined for them. There were times when an Awakened was able to do everything with above average proficiency, they usually ranked high in the world because of their abilities.
"But yeah, that's just a category, expectations sometimes doesn't match reality," Yuna continued.
"Hoo. I'll remember that," said Jyu.
"Yes yes~ Then let's continue training first—," Yuna's words were cut off by the alarm that immediately rang and made the entire building light up red. In the next second, Yuna's mobile phone also rang indicating that this was a serious situation.
