*Arthemis's POV* I heard the door crack open, my mother walked in,  offering her hand towards me. She smiled, waiting patiently with crystal clear droplets, forming in the corners of her eyes. I stood up, with a lot of fear in my heart, but I took her hand. She led me towards the door. I was shocked... Thousands of thoughts ran through my head. Have they noticed my passage ways? Are they going to send me to be a rogue now? Or even worse... to find my mate!? I hear Twilight, letting out a low growl in the back of my head. "How dare you not want to find mate?", she asked furiously. This was how she treated me whenever I thought about not wanting a mate. I ignored her whining and growling, and walked for the first time since King Luann attacked Wendlyn, down the hallway. It was like I was reborn, feeling the old oak floors of the castle beneath my feet. I checked everything around me to make sure that I was not dreaming.  She stepped aside to make room for me to go through the corridor,  that led to what I recall, the Dining room. And there sat 5 faces, waiting, expressionless.  The lifted they're gazes to me and mother. In peace sat: Prince Lance, my brother, Princess Delilah, my younger sister, Delta Oscar, my best friend, Beta Florian, and my father, King Joshua. My mother joined them at the table, leaving me to look at the ground. Shyness overflowed me. Finally a throat cleared," Arthemis, please, have a seat." the voice lingered,"Happy birthday..." my dad said.I obeyed, and sat down, still not looking at anyone. "Where's your table manners, don't you know you have to say something when your a guest... Something like 'Thank you for having me, and showing me kindness for all these years, and not giving me over to Luann like you should have!'", Lance's voice spat, filled with disgust. "Yes, you should not have even been born into this family. It's not like you even belong here or deserve to be called a princess!", Delilah continued. I felt warm tears spilling from my eyes, how can these people hate me so much? I am related to them by blood. "Enough!" an authoritative voice boomed. Everyone was still, I kept looking down, hearing the scoffs of my sister and brother. I felt a hand brush my tears away... I knew that smell all too well. Oscar. He cups my chin, with his thumb and index finger. Forcing me to look up. I see my father, mother and siblings, cloudy eyed. They must be mindlinking. After awhile I see my sister, throwing daggers my way with her eyes. And Lance... well he just looked in shock.  "    You must be wondering what are you doing here?", my father presumes. I nod quick, still not making eye contact, taking in what my siblings have implied om me. "It has come to a decision, that you no longer need to hide. You are free to roam around the castle. We supposed we should treat you like the adolescent, you have become. You will also be attending the mate ball tomorrow. It is time for you to begin to explore the world, I guess it is partly our fault, for not exposing you to the word... but please, you have to understand that we did it for your - the packs protection. I know this  is a little too much to ask, but please, try to feel safe here with us...you have been cooped up in that little room for all these years,so we give you the opportunity to explore, find you mate..."  I was shocked. For the first time I walked into the room,I glanced up, daring to look them in the eyes. I could feel my heart beat faster, hearing concerned voices around me, feeling all of the nervousness beginning to conceal me... and after that my vision began to become black with white spots. After that, I couldn't really remember much, but I kept feeling someone holding my hand. *Oscar's POV* I was extremely worried about the girl, who's hand I was holding. Worried about her safety, worried about the pack, but most of all, worried about her finding her mate tomorrow. I knew that she wasn't my mate, we didn't have the bond, but I was in love with this girl. I fell so hard for her when I first saw her! I don't want her to find her mate... in fact, I  want her to be my mate! I silently ask Moon Goddess why she didn't pair us up. I mean, imagine a girl as perfect as Arthemis! Ash blond locks that falls down to her waist, freckles that perfect her natural beauty even more, eyelashes so long that they touch her cheek every time she looks down. And those eyes, I can get lost in those emerald green eyes! They seem to be one of her many features that attracts me the most. Suddenly, her eyes flutter open, and there she stays, still holding my hand, and staring intensively to each part of this new unknown room. Until her gaze lands on me. She rushed to the only thing that was familiar to her, me.  Then she did something I never expected her to do... Her mouth met mine, and she kissed me. That was the moment I knew I could never be just friends with her...
