Rico noticed and found out that she was single and had three alpha pups. The incident awakened her intimidating, bloodthirsty force and she tore apart the five rogues ruthlessly. Rico was taken a back by what he had witnessed. She and the boys sat in beakseat of his SUV. "Are you hurt, Mommy?” he asked. "No, I'm OK," she replied with a smile, looking at Rico in the mirror. "Where are you taking us?" He kept his eyes on the road and said, "To a safe place, and..." she gave him a suspicious look, signifying her determination to protect them. The boys were sleeping when they reached the pack. She and the pups caught the attention of the gate guards. "Jack, please open the gates so I can put the boys to bed." He complies and opens the gates. He carried both boys while she carried one. They place the boys in the guest room. "It's my home, you can stay temporarily." She refused, "Where will you stay then?" He replied, "I primarily stay at the packhouse." She gestured at the surroundings, "Those things...what were they..." wrapping her arms around herself and walking back and forth. "Chaya, you're safe here. Look at me," he said. She shook her head, her gaze fixed on him. "He found me. I can't... no, no," she whispered. He couldn't approach her. Chaya, don't worry. I'll make sure no one hurts you, including him." She gazes outside, "You can't, he's a monster. "He'll harm you as well." Her eyes widened, "Are you okay, you don't appear..." his brows furrowed. "Mommy." Reed clung to her. She wiped her tears. "Why are you awake?" he didn't responsed. "Hey baby, look at me." With tears streaming down his face, she gently lifted his head. “Those things almost hurt you, and we were weak…” She holds him, “Hey, I am supposed to protect you, my babies.” He wiped his tears, and it was replaced with a scowl, “No we will protect you.” his voice stern. He emitted an aura that made Rico's wolf whimper. Her lips flatten as she commands, "Reed, remember what I told you, control yourself!" “Sorry Mommy.” He hugged her “Come back to bed.” She found Rico sitting by the breakfast table. "Chaya, there's someone I want you to meet. You've noticed the boys are different, right?" She nods. "Yes, I know. It's just that..." "Is the monster the…" She looks at her empty hands. "I know someone who can help." She bites her lip. "I won't let them take my babies." Her eyes turn silver, filled with rage. He retreated, assuring her, "They wouldn't, I promise," fear evident on his face. “What…” he showed her to look in the mirror. Startled by her reflection, she nearly screamed, her hands instinctively covering her mouth. “Drink,” he said, offering her water. She obeyed, expressing concern about being seen like that by the boys. He reassured her, “Stay calm, it will go back to normal.”
