Kate POV
As I leave Colby in Amelie’s hospital room, I head back to the Pack house. I need to get a shower and speak to Drake about what happened at the Red Moon Pack tonight. I walk through the lobby of the Pack house and notice Josey coming out of the office area.
“A little late to be working, isn’t it Josey?” I ask. She lives in a small house on her own and would have no reason to need to be here at this time of night. “Kate, you know me; it’s never too late to be working,” she says laughing. “I truly hope Amelie is alright,” she says. “Good news, she woke up not long ago. She’ll be able to give Colby a better idea who might have hurt her,” I reply to her. Seeing a shadow cross over her face, I wonder what she’s hiding and how much she was involved with Amelie’s poisoning.
