As the school bus rattled down the dusty road towards the unfamiliar brick building, Emily's heart beat faster with each passing moment. Today was her first day at a new school, and she couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had settled deep in her chest. As she climbed the steps of the school bus and made her way towards the front doors, she couldn't help but wonder if she would ever find a place where she truly belonged. And little did she know, that on this very first day of school, she would meet the boy who would break her heart in the most bittersweet way possible.

Intro & Chapter 1
As the sun began to set on the first day of summer, Emily stepped onto the college campus, eager to start her new life as a freshman. She had always been a shy and introverted person, but today she felt different. She had a sense of anticipation in her heart, like something wonderful was about to happen. As she walked through the crowded campus, Emily's eyes locked with those of a handsome young man named Adam. He had a dazzling smile and sparkling blue eyes that seemed to light up the entire area. From that moment, Emily knew that her life was about to change forever. Chapter 1: As Emily nervously navigated the unfamiliar halls of her new school, she suddenly collided with a boy coming around the corner. Papers and books went flying in all directions, and Emily felt her face flush with embarrassment as she scrambled to pick everything up. "I'm so sorry!" she stammered, trying to gather up the scattered papers as quickly as possible. "No, no, it was my fault," the boy replied, a gentle smile on his face. "I should have been watching where I was going." Emily couldn't help but notice how kind his brown eyes looked as they met hers, and she felt her nerves start to ease just a little bit. "I'm Ben," he said, holding out a hand to help her up. "What's your name?" "I'm Emily," she replied, taking his hand and feeling a jolt of electricity shoot up her arm as their fingers touched. "Nice to meet you, Emily," Ben said, his smile growing wider. "Are you new here?" Emily nodded, suddenly feeling more self-conscious than ever. "Yeah, today's my first day. I'm still trying to figure out where everything is." "Well, lucky for you, I'm basically an expert on this place," Ben said with a laugh. "Let me help you out." And with that, he started leading Emily down the hallway, pointing out classrooms and the cafeteria and the library as they walked. As they chatted, Emily couldn't help but feel like Ben was the first person she'd met in a long time who actually wanted to get to know her. They talked about their favorite TV shows, their hobbies, and the music they liked, and Emily found herself opening up to him in a way that she never had with anyone else. By the time they reached Emily's first class, she felt like she'd known Ben for years. As they said goodbye and went their separate ways, Emily couldn't help but feel a sense of hope that maybe this new school wouldn't be so bad after all.
