"How much for that?" Zach asks the ice cream vendor while holding his son's hands.
"You're lucky because your son was adorable and cute, so I'll give it to you for free!" The vendor exclaimed and started scooping the ice cream and hand him.
Zach accepted it and gave it to his son, he saw a happy smile written on Gabriel's lips and he was grateful to see that smile. He nodded to the vendor before leaving the place and sat down on the empty park chair.
"Was it good?" He asked his son.
"Yes, because you choose the right flavor! I am happy because my daddy buys me ice cream!" Gabriel replied.
"I'm glad you like it, my son."
He cannot explain what he's feeling because after six years of missing his son, he finally meets him and they even have a bonding time.
"Dad, can I ask you a question?" His son asked him.
"Sure? What is it, Gabriel?"
"Hmm, why did you leave us?"
That question makes him stunned in his seat and pauses for a moment, Zachary never thinks his son would ask that question, especially since he didn't know Cassandra telling their son a piece of sensitive information.
"Where did you get that idea, my son?"
Gabriel licks his ice cream before looking at his dad, "I heard mommy and uncle Andrei, talking about you and she said you leave us."
"What else you heard?"
"She always cried secretly but when I ask her why she said nothing."
He sighed, "You're too young to get involved in our problem, but I promise you I wouldn't let your mother cry again. I may hurt her but I swear, my son, I wouldn't do that again."
"Pinky promise?" Gabriel place his pinky in front of his father and waited for his reply.
"Yes, pinky promise..."
"Yay!" His son stood up and said, "Let's ride on the roller coaster again! Please!"
He chuckled, "Yes we're riding again."
"Yehey! Thank you, daddy!"
But he's bothered by what his son told him, and suddenly wanted to talk to his ex-wife. Zachary takes a deep breath because he needs to tempt himself while having fun with his son.
He stood up from his seat and he was pulled by his son across the place where they came, he couldn't believe himself because after all, it was enough to see his son's happy reaction.
Suddenly, his phone rang causing him to get it and his ex-wife's name flashed on the screen, he cancel the call and put his phone back inside his pocket. He wanted to forget about her for now and have fun because after this he might not see his son again, Cassandra is not the person he can easily deal with.
After six years of waiting, he wasn't letting his ex-wife steal this moment. He'll find another way to reclaim Cassandra and put them back together because that's what he wants and no one will stop his plans, even Andrei.

@Richard's Corporation.
"What is wrong with him?! Why he shouldn't answer my calls?!" Cassandra shouted at top of his lungs.
"Calm down, they might having fun right now and you're ruining it. Don't you think?" Andrei said while scrolling to his phone.
She threw a sharp gaze at his brother because she didn't like what he just said, she sat down from her seat before putting her phone under her office table. That unease feeling she has built faster, thinking he might steal his son and hide Gabriel from her.
She massage her temple and leaned on her swivel chair, Cassandra become like this since Zachary arrived in their lives. Her mind can't focus on her work and she cannot hold her mother's side not to getting worried.
"Don't stress yourself, Gabriel was fine."
She rolled her eyes, "What if I started cutting your allowance, it would be fine?"
Her brother widened and put his phone back into his pocket, he smiled at his sister and he did his signature puppy eyes. Andrei wouldn't let his sister cut his allowance.
"No, it's not fine. What do you want me to do, do you want me to go there and fetch Gabriel so you can work peacefully?" He smiles widely.
"As if you can do it," She grunted.
She just sighed before looking away because her mother's instinct kicked so hard, the sun's setting down and it started to become bizarre. This is part of their agreement that's why she must tempt herself not to ruin their date.
She had to get used to it, this is for her son's sake and as a mother. There's only one thing she wants and that is for Gabriel to be happy if Zachary was the answer for that. Then, she'll let him become part of their son's life.
"Do you think I made the right decision?" She asked his brother without looking at him.
"For me, yes. That's what Gabriel wanted and I know he's happy with his real father, even if you wanted to hide him forever. Your son will look for his father," Andrei answered.
"I'm just afraid because I have a feeling Zach will steal my son from me," She looked at her brother, "I love my son more than myself and he's my life, which I can bear losing him..."
"I know but trust your ex-husband, I know he knows how important your son was to you. So don't think too much and calm yourself, that's the better way you can do for now."
"Maybe you're right, I'm just paranoid."
Or maybe she's acting like Zachary would do something she didn't want, even though she knew how desperate her ex-husband was to claim her and rebuild their family.
The sun finally set down and the light coming from the city made a beautiful scenery in her eyes, she felt a little relieved but she can't stop her mind from thinking too much.
She look at her phone as it vibrated and read the message coming from Zachary.
'Just think of your son, Cassandra, he's the reason why you let him become part of your life again.'
