Cassandra looks at her wristwatch for the third time today, and the person who asked her attendance is still nowhere to be found. She sighed and realized what she was doing was crazy. She grabbed her bag and stood up, but her handkerchief fell on the floor.

She pick it up and suddenly a pair of black shoes stop right in front of her, she lifted her head and her eyes landed to a man she didn't saw for the after six years. Cassandra stood up without parting her eyes to him because after six years he haven't change.

"Zachary..." She murmured.

His deep ocen eyes looking at her and said, "Sorry, I am late."

After 6 years Cassandra is still surprised to see his ocean eyes but she's not found of him anymore, she clear her throat before sitting back on her chair follow by Zachary.

Eventually the waitress of the cafe approached them to take their order with a smile.

"Hi, welcome to sweet taste cafe, may I take your order?" The waitress asked them.

Cassandra look at the waitress, "Yes, can I have one cappuccino please?"

"Sure, ma'am," The waitress averted her gaze to Zachary, "What about you sir?"

"Nothing," He replied without even looking at the waitress.

"Okay, I'll ready your cappuccino ma'am."

"Thank you," Cassandra murmured with a smile.

Cassandra felt the uncomfortable feeling Zach's giving to her and she can even saw him in her peripheral vision, she sighed before facing him and look at Zach with full of confidence.

"I don't have all day and I don't have plan looking at you whole day so tell me, what did you asked to see me, Zachary?" She ask him straight forward.

"It's been 6 years Cassandra but you haven't change, your still the Cassandra I use to know."

She raised her eyebrow, "I'm not here to bring back our past so if your not telling me what do you want, I have to go."

He smirked, "Not so fast, Cassandra."

Cassandra started to get annoyed because of his annoying face, she calm herself and wait for him to say anything.

"When I came back last week from a business trip. All I wanted is to talked to you," He said.

"For what?"

Zachary open his suitcase and put down in front of her the white folder before leaning on the chair and look at his ex-wife seriously.

"I want to have a custody with our son."

She's not surprised at all and open the folder, she read every inch of details indicated in that document. Cassandra is not surprised that her ex-husband got a custody letter because after six years putting wall between him and their son, he finally get what he wants.

"Okay, if that's all you want. I can do that."

"Actually there is another one," He place another folder in front of Cassandra.

Out of curiosity, Cassandra take it and read it carefully but her brows furrowed when she read something made her blood boil.

"What is this, a piece of trash?"

"That's our marriage contract, Cassandra."

"I know and I am not blind," She rudely said.

"We have a son and I guess that's enough for you to understand what it mean."

She scoff and threw the folder in his face, "I don't care if we have a son or what but introducing to me our marriage contract is a different story."

"We are separated six years ago, Zach and were not going to get back together. You can't use our son to be your excuse to came into my life again because we are done!"

"Whatever you say because whether you like it or not, I'll take back what is truly mine and that is you."

"Unbelievable!" She slammed the table and started yelling to him, "You don't own me. Not a single thing in my body because after what you did 6 years ago is enough for me to keep you out of my life!!"

"Perhaps I let you meet our son after 6 years of putting barrier between you and our son but I'm doing this for Gabriel, so don't you ever think entering my life again or else.."

"Or else what?" He grinned, "You can stop me Cassandra, you are mine and I'll do everything to take what is mine."

"I'm not yours!"

"You don't own me. Mark that in your mind and remember that I will never forgive you, even though you got into an accident."

"Do you mean it?" He asked.

"Yes," She stated.

Cassandra felt the gazes from the customers around the cafe and she didn't care if she caught a lot of attention because all she care about is this man in front of her.

"After six years, you came back and told me that damn words. Giving you a custody for our son is enough Zach but asking me to forgive you will never gonna happen, even if you die or got hit by a car."

She grabbed her bag and stood up but before she started her tracks, she look to Zach for once.

"You never change Zach, the time has pass but your still the liar, selfish, and arrogant man I know from six years ago."

"I'm not that bad to hide our son to you forever and as a parent I want him to meet you too, but don't ever think I want us to get back like we use too."

That's all she said before finally leaving the cafe, Cassandra go inside of her car and drove away without looking back to him. She doesn't want to look back because if she did her feelings will take over to her body and she might did a mistake.

Her life is peaceful and almost perfect but she kept asking god why he came back to her life. Cassandra did everything to buried in a grave her past and she did everything not to dig it, but fate is to playful because the man she always wanted to avoid came back and worst asking for their son's attention.

She look at Gabriel photo hanging in her car, she smile and suddenly her bad mood wash away. All she wanted is her son to be happy and if included is her ex-husband presence, then he'll let him meet their son.

"I'm doing this for my son.. that's all," She said to herself.

Silent, Zachary remain sitting on the chair where his ex-wife left him. He can still see the gazes giving to him by the customers inside of the cafe but he ignore it and dialed to his phone.

[Hey, how you doing?] Marcel said.

It was his friend and Marcel still loyal to him that's why he's the only person he trust after leaving the city six years ago.

"Have you find what I told you to find?" He asked.

[About that, yes. I manage to find where Cassandra is living with your son so I can send you the address.]

"Great, you has a big help to me Marcel."

Marcel chuckled, [Of course, you are my friend and that's what friends do right?]

"Whatever."

[By the way, have you manage meeting your ex-wife? These past few years I don't a lot of research about her after you leave LA. I don't know if I'm done it right but I think Cassandra's still single."

A smile drew in his lips as he heard those words from his friend because after letting Cassandra to take a rest for a while, she's still single as Zach though.

[But I'm not kinda sure because there is someone living with her in the same roof and I guess it's a guy.]

Suddenly his smile disappear, Zachary wanted to kill his friend for ruin his mood but he's lucky because Marcel wasn't there.

"Are you kidding me?" He said.

[No, I'm just stating what I found.]

"Alright, I'll check it out later after I finish some business in my company."

[Okay, don't forget to bring flowers because that's the best way to win an angry woman's heart.]

That's all Marcel say before ending the call causing Zach to shook his head and chuckled, his friend is the companion he had because after taking a break Marcel is the person who willingly look for his wife.

He put back his phone into his pockets before grabbing the suitcase, Zachary stood up and fix his necktie and approach the waitress who serve them earlier.

He handed her a money and said, "Here's my payment, I'm sorry for the inconvenient happened earlier."

The waitress accept it and smiled, "It's fine sir, come again."

"We will," He replied after finally leaving the cafe.

Zach open his car door and put the suitcase into the passenger seat, he look at the photo of his son and suddenly remember what Cassandra told him before she leave. Those words hit him so much and he can't blame his ex-wife fir treating him like that because six years is not enough to heal the wound he gave to Cassandra.

He sighed before riding to his car and start the engine, if he wanted to get back what is rightfully his then he must start over again.
