THE WOLF CASTER

CHAPTER 4

VISITORS IN THE NIGHT

Leah looked at the time on the little clock beside her bed in the cabin it was 10:45 pm and oh so quiet, Leah got off her bed stepped outside bowed to the Moon and started to cast a barrier spell over the cabin so that nothing and no one could enter while she was inside sleeping. Leah liked to believe she was a Ninja caster (a term she made up) she felt the term made her more bad ass, As she rotated her arms her palms facing away from her she began to cast, the barrier began to form just before she could complete it her mother and father came laughing through the woods.

Leah’s parents greeted her in unison “good evening young lady” Leah rolled her eyes and delivered a very unimpressed “Hey”. Max laughed at his daughter’s obvious annoyance at their arrival but said “I missed you, you couldn’t possibly expect me to stay away” with this Leah and her mother giggled. Leah responded still giggling “father dearest I call bull s**t so what are you really doing here”.? Aliyah looked at her daughter in a fake shocked expression she said “Leah your mouth” Max threw his head back and laughed at his daughter who often forgot herself and had always spoke her mind irrespective of who she was addressing. Leah smirked at her mother “so enough of distraction s**t mother what is going on?”

Aliyah, Max and Leah sat with their feet in the pool below the waterfall, Aliyah sighed and said “there is trouble brewing baby and both you and I will need to combine our efforts to keep it at bay” Leah looked at her mother with a confident grin on her face and replied” I am a Ninja Caster mother dearest and soon will shift into a bad ass wolf as well we got this” Max and Aliyah looked at each other and laughed at their overly confident daughter.

Leah had been back at the pack for only 3 years and in that time had managed to avoid all the pack gatherings she visited with the Luna and Alpha but other than them she lived a life of seclusion following in the path of most Pack witches. The day was coming fast when she knew she would have to integrate into the pack because after all she was also a wolf and the daughter of a Beta. Leah’s pack training was done in private one of the perks of having a dad who was a warrior wolf turned Beta which in human form made Leah Bad Ass.

The night was beautiful Leah’s parents were caught up in one another’s gaze which was Leah’s signal to leave and head back to the cabin but before she did she left her parents with “ seriously guys your PDA traumatises me I will be left with emotional scars”, Aliyah and max laughed at their daughter, Aliyah replied” I think your spending too much time with Luna and her dramatics are rubbing off on you” Leah giggled and rolled her eyes as she continued back to the cabin she completed casting and went to bed.

Max and Aliyah decided to leave their daughter in peace and headed back through the woods to their cottage which was located closer to the pack house but still far enough away that it allowed them privacy. Aliyah still with the thought of trouble on her mind spoke to the moon goddess that night they spoke about Leah’s preparation for the trouble ahead. Aliyah was also preparing for the potential chaos that loomed.
