...Flash back.....
"Is that a dare! Andrew" I crossed my arm, raising my eyebrows as I sensed a challenge.
His hands up, imitating the act of surrender. "I never said that." He smirked.
Feigning anger. I walked over to his kitchen counter where the bottle of whiskey sat, peacefully.
"Bee, I was just kidding." He sang as he trailed behind. I halted when I was at my destination, pivoting to him and crossing my arm once again.
"You think I can't handle a little drop of whiskey?" I repeated his exact words.
"Bee, come on. You know I was just teasing you, don't take it seriously, babe." He said, coming closer and I placed a hand in front of him, stopping him from moving.
"Challenge accepted." I turned to the counter, grabbing the bottle and a glass and pouring a little amount of whiskey inside, like they do in the movies. I'm gonna show him that, I can handle anything.
I turned, the glass of whiskey in my grip. I gestured my two fingers to his face and then to me. 'watch me'
Feeling confident, I brought the cold glass to my mouth, inhaling the awful smell, to which I almost retched out my tongue. Andrew watched with a close eye, his arms folded as he waited for me to give up at the last minute, but that's the last thing I'm gonna do. It's was hard tho. The strong odor from the whiskey already sent me off. I was ready to back out.
You can't back out now! I encouraged myself and with that, I let few drop roll down my tongue and immediately I reacted. Pushing the cup away from me, i grimaced at the burning sensation in my tongue.
"It burns, it burns." I whined, putting my tongue out and fanning it with my both hands. I frowned my eyebrows when Andrew bursted into laughter. His hands on his knees as he wasn't able to control his laughs.
"That's not funny." I scowled, pouting angrily.
Laughter evident in his voice, he stood up straight. "It's wasn't my fault, was it?"
I moved closer and playfully smacked his arm. "Ouch" he feigned a scowl, rubbing his arm. I turned, attempting to walk away, but was stopped when his arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me to him.
"I'm sorry. Bee" His tone genuinely apologetic. "Have you accepted my apology?"
With the little space between us, I crossed my arm. "You'll have to do more than apologize."
"Okay." His face coming closer to my neck. "What should I do princess." His soft lips came in contact with my neck and my body felt like it was electrocuted.
"What?" He questioned softly, leaving trails of kisses on my neck and causing me to flicker my eyes up and giggle.
"Okay. Okay. You've been forgiven" I laughed out and I could feel his lips curling up in a smile.
........Present.........
We both turned away from each other's glare. I mentally groaned, scolding myself for being this vulnerable with him. A sound emitted around us and it seemed to be coming from Andrew.
"Yeah?" His deep voice questioned and I turned back to him. His voice and attitude had changed as soon as he picked up the call.
"Don't go anywhere! I'll be there in Five." He said and after that, he hung up, glancing at his phone before shoving it into his pocket. His eyes shot at me.
"It's really nice seeing you, but I have to go." He smiled warmly and i nodded in understanding, even though my insides were dying to know who called and why he had to leave, another part knew I was no longer part of his life... So I didn't have the right to question.
I mean, why would he answer to his Ex.
Exactly!
"Same here." I smiled. He left his beer and walked away, disappeared into the crowd. I turned, facing the shelves of drinks and it wasn't up to 30 seconds before Kim matched in here, saying.
"What kind of sorcery did you use to get Drew to talk to you huh?" She questioned with her head facing back. I pulled my eyebrows to a creased.
"Drew?"
Her eyes finally met mine and they were singing 'i know you know what I'm talking about'
She stood in front of me, her body leaning sideways against the bar counter.
"Drew Carter. A.K.A leader of the popular guys. A.K.A Mister hottie, sexy and handsome. He's the guy of every girls' eyes, including Teachers." She explained and I kept a shocked face to it.
"He's so hot. He happens to be one of the guys throwing this party. He's like the boss here! Ladies men. My dream guy"
Yeah right! You wish.
"Great! He's popular here too." I muttered, turning and facing the counter.
"Honestly, you have to share. I'm not into those stuff, but you should still share with me. How did you get Drew Carter to even look at you?" She questioned, her eyes burning with curiosity.
"First of all, why do you call him drew?"
"Oh that's the name he goes by with. His full name is forbidden to call."
What?! I frowned mentally.
"How on earth do you know all of this? You're new just like I am."
She chuckled, winking. "I have my ways.... Now tell meee!" She shook my shoulders and I finally succumb after all the shaking.
"Fine.. I'll tell you." I said and the shaking stopped, her eyebrows raised and her eyes widened. I looked away, I nervously grabbed the cup I once looked at with disdain. I was afraid to utter those words. It was hard to accept it and it still is.
"He was my- I mean- is my..... my Ex." The words were finally muttered. Those words were a reminder that we weren't meant to be.
"Whhat?!" Her jaw agape as she stood in absolute shock. Honestly, I haven't seen a girl this surprised before. She was so shock that she took the cup I was holding and chugged everything down.
How does she do that?! I mean, one drop of alcohol sends me off and here's the same gender of mine, chugging down a cup filled with it..... But, back to what she did it.
The empty cup landed on the counter and she drew closer. "You." She pointed at me. "Him." She pointed the direction she saw him leave.
"You dated Drew Carter!" She mostly yelled, causing nearby heads to turn.
I put my both hands out to her, calming her down. "You don't have to be so loud about it."
I turned, tight-lipped smiling to the people that were now glaring at me. I felt squeeze on my arm and soon I was pulled out of the stool, dragged gently along the crowd and now outside, a place that seem to be the parking lot.
"Tell me you're not bluffing?" Her expression and tone serious as ever. Okay, now I'm confused.
"What?!" I asked, just to make sure I heard right.
"Tell. me. you're. not. bluffing?" She questioned in a monotone. I crossed my arm. This time I was hearing right.
"Kim, do you really think I'd lie to you about something like this! Trust me, it's a very touchy subject." I released my arms at the last part.
She looked around, for something or somebody-i don't know- but her eyes pried for any listening ears.
"Are you okay?"
Her eyes shot back to me. "We have to go somewhere safe."
Safe?!
