Life was like a blur. I didnt do much after I had lost the baby but sleep. Xavier rarely stayed home but when he did he only screamed about me getting over it. I will never get over it. My heart ached so bad. My wolf hadn't wanted to run in what seemed life forever. She was as depressed as I was.
Then one morning I woke up and the sun was shining through the curtains . I threw the covers off of my frail pale body. It wasn't until I stumbled over to the mirror that it hit me. My wolf showing through spoke to me, You deserve better. Run! Run Away from here and live the life you have always wanted. The life we deserve.
I looked at my frail thin body in the mirror. My cheeks were sunken in and my brown eyes were framed by dark circles. I was so tired of living this way. So tired of being depressed and miserable. She was right we had to get out .
Over the next week I formulated a plan. I began eating again and taking care of myself. I went for runs to let my wolf out and exercised as much as possible. I went swimming everyday to build my strength up. I ran around the lake as much as possible leaving trails of my scent everywhere. I gathered as much money as I could without Xavier noticing.
Finally the day came! I had my bag packed with essentials that I needed. I was able to gather 5000 dollars. That should be enough until I can find some work. I looked around the den one last time and walked out the door. I drove to the lake and took off my clothes. I stuffed my backpack in the waterproof bag I had bought at the camping store and tied it to my body. I entered the water. I swam as hard and as fast as I could. The idea was to make it appear as if I had drowned. Since I had been weak and not eating as far as Xavier knew it would be a very likely possibility. Maybe they would even think I killed myself. I swam to the farthest end of the lake. I had ran this lake so that my scent was all over. It would be nearly impossible to find my exit point. I ran as far as I could before turning Into my wolf. We just ran and ran without looking back.
We slept in the woods at night and ran during the day. After 3 weeks I was so tired. We finally exited the woods and entered a quaint little town in the middle of no where. The sign read "Allridge, Kentucky Population 1246" This would be perfect. I made my way to the nearest diner after cleaning myself the best I could and dressing in some Jean's and a tshirt. I had been in wolf form so long walking on two legs seemed foreign to me. It was small but clean. I went into the bathroom, washed up, and brushed my hair. I lathered myself in vanilla scented lotion and perdu.e ro cover my wolf scent. I had already caught the scent of a couple wolves nearby, which didnt suprise me. Most small towns were heavily populated with them. I sat down at the counter and picked up a menu. Everything looked delicious. I was ravenous. A short brown haired girl with big green eyes approached me. She couldn't be no older than 18. "Well we dont get strangers around these parts very often. What can I do ya for." She smiled and I smiled back at her. " I'll have the fried chicken dinner!" I informed her. "Is there a hotel or bed and breakfast nearby?" I asked. "There is actually a bed and breakfast just a couple blocks down."? She smiled taking my menu. Thank God Finally I can rest for a while.
