Chapter Nine

Chapter Nine  As soon as I got in through my front door, I threw my keys on the side and ran to my bedroom, dumping my shoes, bag and jacket on the floor as I went. It was hard enough trying to find something to wear for a night out, let alone for a date with a hot guy that I had super hot s*x with… multiple times. I wanted to look good for him... Even though he’s seen me first thing in the morning looking like a total state.  I opened my closet door and started looking through the racks of clothes I had hanging up. Pulling each piece out, checking to see if it was ‘’date’’ like enough…  No.  No.  No.  No, no, no, NO!  Ah! See, this is why I don’t date or go out much! I hate the panic of having to find something to wear! I just carried on looking until I found a dress that I had forgotten I even had. It was a cute, short black halter neck. I’d have to wear a cardigan with it, but I could accessories it up with some heels, a necklace, maybe some more jewellery... Either way... It would work.  I threw the dress on my bed and went to find some heels to go with it. Next, I found my jewellery and a bag to match and put them on my bed too before I rushed into the bathroom and turned the shower on.  I hopped in, washed my hair, had a quick wash, making sure I didn’t smell like work anymore and got out again. I checked the time, I still had a little while, which was good. The other stressful thing about dates is no matter how early you get ready, it's always a stressful rush to be sorted in time.  It wasn’t until I was half way through doing my makeup that I realised that I hadn’t even text Nathan my address. I grabbed my phone and typed it out quickly before carrying on, making myself look presentable... ** 7 o’clock rolled around I was eagerly waiting by my front door for Nathan. He hadn’t replied to my text, but he was probably just busy. I scrolled through my phone as I waited, and curiosity came over me... I wonder if Nathan had ** or any other social media?  I searched for him and his profile came up almost instantly and I felt my jaw drop by what I had found...  He had over 700,000 followers, a lot of them were clearly famous as they had the blue ticks. His bio was short and simple;  Minnesota boy living my dreams in Cali. Live fast, don’t die young, and enjoy the f*****g ride!  Then there were just a bunch of emojis. A skateboard, a laughy emoji with his tongue out, a dog, and a few others.  How has he got so many followers when he doesn’t really even have that much info posted? Who the f**k is this guy?!  I started looking through the photos he had posted and found myself smiling at how cute they were. There were a lot of him with some puppies, according to the comments they were his and Shanes, Lots of photos of Shane and Nathan together and a lot more of them at events and with celebrities.  Seriously, who the f**k were these guys?!  I went to his followers and searched for Shane. Right away he popped up. He had a blue tick as well... Was he famous or something? I checked out his profile, but much like Nathan, there wasn’t much on there. Since he was clearly someone, otherwise he wouldn’t have nearly 3 million followers, I googled his name and almost instantly the screen was filled with news articles and photos about him.  He owned the biggest chain of tattoo shops in America… Wow.  I found myself stalking the guys so intently, that when someone knocked on my door, I jumped so high in surprise, I dropped my phone and felt like my heart had pounded out of my chest. It took me a minute  I got up and opened the door, revealing a very smartly dressed, handsome Nathan. I couldn’t help but smile as my eyes darted over his appearance, taking him all in.  Knowing what I know now about him and Shane... I just.. Really couldn’t see why they were interested in me.. I didn’t think of them any differently, but, it was just more obvious now that they could literally have any woman… or man, they wanted... And Nathan chose me to take home, me to go on a date with... I just didn’t get it.  ‘Hey’. He greeted me when I didn’t speak. I shook my head and smiled again.  ‘Hey, sorry, you look… good’. I told him honestly and he let out a small chuckle.  ‘You look very very good yourself’. I felt my face heat up with a blush as he put his hand out to me. ‘Shall we?’ I nodded and grabbed my bag off the side before Nathan pulled me through the door and I pulled it closed behind me…  --------------------------------------------- Yes, it was a short chapter. I’m just trying to work through writer's block. More coming soon.
