CHAPTER 16 Alyssa lay in bed trying to read a novel, but the events of the day overwhelmed her, and she couldn't concentrate. In the room to the right of hers, farthest from the children, the bed springs squeaked as Michael and Sheridan settled in for the night. The bed noisily protested Michael's substantial weight. The interior walls of this cabin are rather thin, Alyssa decided.
