Watching Ryan drive away into the darkness felt like watching my heart leave my body.
"Diana." Lucian's voice was gentle behind me. "The pack leaders are waiting."
I nodded but didn't turn around. If I looked away from that window, if I stopped watching the road Ryan had taken, it would make his absence real. And I wasn't ready for that yet.
"What if I made the wrong choice?" I whispered. "What if I should have gone after Damian myself?"
