It stops raining but it’s still icy and cold outside the restaurant. Thank Christ! Jason decides to head home. He climbs inside his Tundra, leaves the bistro’s parking lot and the island, and…approximately four miles away from the island on Barter Run Road he sees the bright glare of red-blue-white strobes in his rearview mirror. His eyes steer to the speedometer and he notes that he’s going fifty-five miles in a forty-five-mile zone. “f**k! This is not going to be good.”
