Chapter 18

Behemet’s viewpoint “Some of his readings are through the roof,” a female voice said. “Leave it up to a Beghrest to have readings like that,” a man said snorting. Somehow that man’s voice sounded familiar. “I can’t believe that actually worked though,” Sammie’s voice said. “I told you he was in a rut,” the man said. “How did you know that?” a female voice said. “His dad told me back in the day,” the man said. “There is no way you knew Alqamar,” I said sitting up and looking around the room. I didn’t know where I was. It was a strange a room. It looked very technological, I had no idea how else to explain it. I was sitting on this bed, and I had all these strange things sticking out of me. There were these tubes with this strange clear liquid dripping into my veins, or at least it seemed they were dripping into me. I noticed that I was still in my Fakir male form. I looked over at this older woman looking towards me. Despite her looking older she was very beautiful. She had long blonde hair, bright blue eyes and looked like she could be Sammie’s mother as her face was just like Sammie’s face, but it looked older. That however was not knocking on her at all, she was extremely beautiful. Somehow her scent, it felt like it was all over me. A lot of it was all over me. I tried to figure out why it was all over me. “Careful, she might bite,” A man said next to me. “Hello,” the male voice said when I turned around and saw a man standing close by. He was wearing quite the uniform. He wore a white double-breasted uniform with epaulettes on his shoulders. He looked like an older Fakir Male, a much older Fakir Male. Just like the other Fakir Males I had seen he had these piercing eyes but unlike the other ones he was much lighter in skin tone and he had this almost golden-red hair. “Behemet I presume.” “How do you know of me?” I asked. “Oh, I’ve been keeping an eye on you for a while now,” the man said. “How long is a while?” I asked. “Long enough,” the man said simply. “I heard you say something about knowing Alqamar,” I said. “I did know Alqamar,” the man said. “How?” I asked. “I met your father a while back,” the man said. “Probably before you were born probably back when he first became member of the white wolf council.” That was when it hit me, the man was wearing something I had seen my father have on his shoulder I nearly shrilled when I saw it. On the right breast of the coat that this man was wearing was an emblem I recognized anywhere. It was the emblem of the white wolf council. “What…the hell?” I said pointing at it. “So, you do know what it is,” the man said smirking. “Who the hell are you?” I demanded. “Hey, calm down,” the older woman said suddenly in a very soothing voice. I looked at her and saw the same emblem on her jacket. I pointed at it and looked at her. “That’s right, I am one of them too.” “Did your father ever tell you of Lev Asada?” The man said. “The Lion?” I said, and the man nodded. “What does the Lion have to do with you?” “Sweetheart he is the Lion,” the woman said in a motherly voice. “You?” I said looking at the man again. “The Lion?!” The Lion was the name of the leader of the white wolf council. My father had said that he was called the Lion because of what he symbolized. He was strong, courageous, yet he was kind and devoted and a true leader. My father worshiped the Lion, he always praised him, and held him in highest regards and here was a man who claimed was the Lion. “But if you are the Lion then she is…” I said looking at the woman. “Darin um,” the woman smiled. That meant the Den Mother, she was the highest ranked female of the White Wolf council. This woman smiled brightly when she recognized I had put one and one together as to who she was. “How?” I said feeling my head starting to spin. “Alright, calm down,” the woman said soothingly. “You just have learned a lot, so we are going to explain it as simply as we can.” “Explain,” I said. “I am sure you met Anubis,” The man said. “Well his visage,” I said. “And he said he created you,” The man said, and I nodded. “He didn’t create you per se,” the woman said. “So, he did not create the Beghrest?” I asked. “Not really,” the man said. “But we will tell you what we mean by that later. First let us explain how we are those you knew as the highest ranked members of the white wolf council.” “About 60 years ago your time we met your father when he was going through the trials of the White Wolves to join the council.” The woman said. “At the same time, we met Leanna,” The man said. “That is Lacia’s mother,” The woman said. “And we found out an old friend of ours had another child we did not know he had.” “We knew of two children,” the man said. “Katherine, out in this star system called Regulus.” “And Zephyr who is from the star of Deneb.” The woman added. “But Leanna, she was the descendant of one of the kids that he had that we had no idea about.” The man said. “And not only that but we found out about another thing we didn’t know that Methuselah left behind.” “I have a bad feeling about what you are going to say,” I said. “You should have a bad feeling,” the man said. “Its why they are looking for power sources?” I asked. “Yes,” the man said. “What the hell is it?” I asked. “What would need something to turn it on that has the power to make a sun?” “That is what we aren’t so sure about,” the man said. “Right now, we have someone trying to find that out for us.” “We so far have been able to stop these guys from getting their hands’ on other power sources,” The woman said. “That Horn of Jericho?” I asked. “You know about the horn?” the man said. “I only heard about it,” I said. “Well that is one less thing to explain,” the man said. “You don’t know what they could need this stuff for?” I asked. “No, I mean best case scenario they can wipe out the atmosphere of Saffar and murder billions of people in an instant,” the man said. “Krishna!” I said. “How could that be the best-case scenario?” “There are so many things that Metuselah could have stupidly left just hanging around here.” The man said. “From his ship to possible our other Star Builder technology.” “Our?” I said looking at the man. “Oh right,” the man said. “I’ll explain that later.” “You…your Star Builders, aren’t you?” I said. “Oh, good he figured it out,” the man said. “See Les, told you he was smart.” “Yes, Behemet we are Star Builders,” the woman explained. “But you look like Fakirs,” I said. “Yeah you aren’t the only one who has this gizmo,” the man said and turned to him and saw that he was wearing a similar belt to the one I had around his waist. I looked at it and looked at the man. I then looked over at the woman and she had a similar one around her waist. “We only look like Fakirs.” “We figured it would be easier for you to appear like this,” the woman explained. “Its like when we were on your planet, we were Beghrest.” “I still don’t get something, why were you on my planet?” I asked. “Because we knew the i***t of Methuselah left that medallion with Kyzl.” The man said smacking his teeth. “We looked for the damn thing for years and found out from Leanna when we met her that her mother had hidden it, but she didn’t bother telling us where.” “Which brings us back to why we brought you here,” the man said. “That reminds me,” I asked turning to Sammie. “How come you just didn’t tell me you were bringing me here?” “That’s the thing, you were being tricked,” Sammie said. “That woman who claimed to be me, is not me, it’s my sister Theresa.” “What?” I said. “We don’t know for sure what her plan is,” the man said. “So, Theresa is your sister?” I asked, and Sammie nodded. “And she looks exactly like you?” She nodded again. “Did I meet you or her?” “I’m the one who sent you to go find Rana,” Sammie said. “I was then called by Lord Leonard and that is how I ended up here.” “Leonard?” I asked looking at the man. “Oh wow, we totally forgot to introduce ourselves,” the man said. “Leonard Myers,” the man said extending his hand. “That seems like a relatively normal name,” I said taking his hand. “Leslie Myers,” the woman said extending her hand. “Well, I feel that you might flip out if you knew who I really was,” the man explained. I looked at him confused. “We are using our identities we were using on Asgard.” “Asgard again?” I said. “What do you mean?” Lord Leonard said. I explained to him what I had heard Eugene and Kain say to the mysterious third person. Lord Leonard nodded when I was saying everything. “That does coincide with everything that happened on Asgard,” Lord Leonard said. “I was actually the one who foiled Xavier from getting the horn of Jericho about a year ago.” “The way they were talking about it sounded like it just happened,” I said. “Well yes technically it would have just happened,” Lord Leonard said. “Let me guess it’s this time differentiation thing that Hanuman was talking about.” I said they both looked at each other. I realized they probably didn’t know what I meant. “Hanuman told me when a great distance is traveled time works differently.” “Oh that,” Lord Leonard said. “Yes, in a way that is correct. To them this just happened, but it actually happened about a year ago. Asgard is about a year travel from here.” “They must have just gotten the information,” Leslie said. “Which means they don’t know Mexcatli is on his way to Ostrep.” Lord Leonard nodded. “That is good, means that we are at least a step ahead of them.” “But back to what I was saying,” I said realizing we had gone off topic,” I turned back to Sammie. “Why didn’t you say you were bringing me here?” “Oh, that was my fault,” Leslie said. “My scans showed you were going in a rut. So, I told her to bring you here, so I could treat you.” “Treat me?” I said. “Well, all I managed to do, is counteract your hormones with anti-testosterone. Well…more like testosterone suppressors. Good thing too.” “Why is that?” I asked. “Man, you had it bad,” Lord Leonard laughed. “He’s right,” Leslie said. “Any longer and you probably would have attacked Tanya with no problem at all.” “We couldn’t let that happen,” Lord Leonard said. “Wait how do you know all this?” I asked. “Omniscience,” Lord Leonard said in a way that echoed Hanuman, which made me look at him. There was no way. Lord Leonard could not keep a straight face and he started laughing. “Just kidding, look.” Lord Leonard suddenly pressed something on his cuff and a screen suddenly appeared in front or us. On the screen was a picture of Walker and the others. They were talking about where I had disappeared to, and the woman who looked like Sammie was telling them that the real Sammie was Theresa. “That is a neat trick,” I said. Part of me wondered if Hanuman had something like this and was watching me somehow and that was how he knew, or seemingly knew everything about me. “So why have you been keeping an eye on me?” I asked “We have watched you since you were little,” Lord Leonard said. “To be honest we have been gauging you and another individual named Mexcatli.” “You said that name earlier,” I said. “Who is he?” “If we told you that you might not believe us.” Leslie said. “Fair enough,” I said not pressing the point further. “Can you at least tell me why you have been observing us?” “It has to do with a prophecy my…I mean Sati made.” Lord Leonard said. “That damn prophecy again?” I said. “I meant to ask this to Osiris, how can such an advance civilization believe in prophecies?” “Because Sati’s predictions were more than just mere prophecies,” Lord Leonard said. “She had this native ability to see things happen long before they actually happened. The fact that you even exist, coming from a society where nobody really knew about the prophecy besides those who were descendants of Methuselah is quite telling of the power that Sati had to foresee things.” “So, you are saying this prophecy is true because I exist and yet I knew nothing about it?” I said. “This is why we are observing you,” Lord Leonard said, and his wife nodded. “You, skepticism alone, is proven fact that you are definitely someone worth paying mind to.” “What do you mean?” I said. “You are in this despite the fact that you think its all hogwash,” Lord Leonard said. I was about to say something, but I stopped and thought of that for a moment then I realized that he was saying the truth. “And that is what I think will help you overcome the power that can terrorize this universe like was said in the Kaliyuga.”
