Chapter 10

We lay like this for the rest of the afternoon just cuddling and talking, Theo told me all about being Luna, what a Luna is and what they do,what he does as alpha and explained all the other pack positions to me and what their duties are. He told me more about his family, he has a brother called Leo and sister Leanne who are both away at the moment and the three of them run the family business of real estate and home security. Theo, Leo and Leah are mixed triplets, Theo and Leo are identical meaning they came from one egg that split and Leah is fraternal meaning she came from a separate egg which is very rare and even rarer than this Leah was conceived about a week after the boys,Theo is the oldest by 10 minutes, it was 3 hours later and the next day when Leanne was born so she has a different birthday. Leo also lives in the pack house but Leanne lives with her mate Stefan who is the same age as them and went to school with them, Leanne and Stefan had been very close growing up and always believed that they would be mates and when Leanne had her first shift, the mate bond kicked in and they wasted no time sealing the bond, they have been living together ever since and are expecting their first baby in four months. Leo hasn’t met his mate yet but Theo said he might meet her soon although didn’t seem to want to say anymore about that which I thought was strange. Apparently they should be back in a few days and are looking forward to meeting me but I’m not sure I feel the same, families aren’t that great in my experience.

I also learned a bit about the family business, Theo tells me they build properties and then either sell them or rent them out, and also design and build properties for clients both supernaturals and humans, they also provide home security systems including alarm systems, security cameras and security gates. It’s a successful business that their great grandfather started and has passed down through the generations.

After a while my stomach started to rumble and we realised it was 6pm, “come on then, I will make us some dinner” Theo says as he picks me up and sits me on the sofa, “I can help you if you’d like” I offer “that’s ok baby, you relax and watch tv or something, let me take care of you” “oh, okay then, if you’re sure” “I am” he says with a smile as he hands me the remote then kisses my forehead and leaves the room.

I look at the remote feeling a little strange, I have never watched tv before, I was never allowed before, I turn the tv on and looking at the screen I see their is a guide so I click into that and it shows what’s on each channel there are a lot of channels but I don’t know any of the programs, as I am scrolling through I read the program description trying to figure out what I might like, I come across a program called friends and decide to give that a try, a few minutes into the episode Theo comes in and says “dinner will be ready soon, I have made pasta with chicken in a creamy sauce and salad ” “ok, sounds good” I say as I watch him set some seasonings and bread on the table and pour two glasses of wine, “are you a fan of friends then?” He asks “I’m not sure, I’ve never seen it before but I wasn’t sure what to put on so thought I would give it a try” “how about we put a movie on while we eat dinner then?” He asks “yeah okay, what movies do you have?” “Lots” he says “I can find most movies by just searching on the tv, you have a think what type of movie you would like to watch, if you press this button here on the remote it brings up the search button, you can use it to find any movie or just type in a genre like comedy or horror or romance whatever you’re in the mood for, have a look and see what you fancy while I go plate up dinner” “okay” I reply then open up the search, I decide to look for comedy films and am surprised by how many options their are, as I am going through the list and reading the descriptions I come across a couple that sounded good then Theo comes in with dinner, sets mine on my lap with a tray and asks “so, what would you like to watch?” “I’m caught between how to loose a guy in 10 days and the ugly truth” I tell him “ok, let’s watch both then”.

We start with how to loose a guy in 10 days while eating our dinner, the pasta is delicious and creamy, my appetite has improved since the first day in the hospital but still isn’t great so I can’t eat it all, once we have finished Theo clears the plates then comes back with 2 bowls of chocolate ice cream.

After the film has finished Theo asks “ what did you think of the film then?” “It was great, really funny” I tell him, “it was good to hear you laugh, hopefully I will get to hear that beautiful sound more often now” he says as he tucks my hair behind my ear, lightly brushing his finger tips against my skin as he does, I close my eyes for a moment at the feel of his skin on mine and give a little shy smile. Then he pulls his hand away and says “I’m going to finish clearing up from dinner, can I get you anything?” “Umm, if you could help me back into my chair please, I need to use the bathroom” “of course, sweetheart, come on” he says then picks me up and sits me in my chair then wheels me out into the hallway, just then there’s a knock at the door, Theo answers it and Grace walks in, as soon as she sees me she says “hi hun, I’ve come to help you have a shower and get changed” “oh ok, thank you, I just need to use the bathroom first” “come on then” Grace says as she wheels me into the bathroom, “do you need help with anything?” “No, I think I can manage, thank you” Grace positions me next to the toilet then says “give me a shout when you’re done or if you need any help” then leaves the room closing the door behind her.

Theo’s POV

“How’s she been doing?” My mum asks “she’s doing ok I think, we had a long chat and she has agreed to give me a chance as long as we take things slow which is understandable” I respond as I tell mum about the day we have had, “so when you say you told her about Leo?” “I haven’t told her that yet, I didn’t want to overwhelm her or scare her” “I understand that hun but she will need to know before he gets home, it wouldn’t be good for her to find out by meeting him or hearing it from someone else” “I know mum, I will tell her soon, I’m just worried about how she will take it, she has only just started warming up to me and has already been through so much.
