Riley POV It's dark outside, the wind is howling, and I can feel the chill in the air. I remain seated, cloistered in my room, busily scribbling away at my desk. I'm studying, ignoring the sound of the wind, with my entire focus on my homework as I study. Maybe if my grades are better, my parents will be proud of me again. Maybe if I can show how hard I'm trying, we can become a better family instead of me feeling like an outsider. I want them to care about me and not just Sofia, who can do no wrong.
