Confession

The next day. Monday at the parking area of the school. Mrs. Hwang insisted to give me a ride. "Are you sure you're okay?" Mrs. Hwang asked as she removed her seatbelt. I nodded and removed my seatbelt too "I feel better now, a hundred percent better. Thank you," I assured her with a smile. She smiled back "Good. Oh anyway, do you want me to have a seating arrangement?" "Nah. That sucks. I mean... we're in college y'know..." I said as I scratched my head. I knew, she just wanted to help me about Seolhyun. Mrs. Hwang sighed "Okay. I will tell the dean that we're living together so I can drive you home." "Alright," I agreed. We went out of her car then walked to the hallway, I just followed her. I was right behind her and I could feel everyone was staring at me, mumbling things that I didn't hear. The dare. They were talking about it until now. In front of Mrs. Hwang's room, there were a bunch of students waiting for her. She opened the door and they all went in. As I stepped in the classroom, Baekhyun was waiting for me there. He was smirking at me, his smug face pissed me off already. My mood fell down like really. s**t. His boorish behavior never change. "I thought you're not going to show your thick face here anymore. Seolhyun wasn't serious, she even made me believe that because of the dare. She's really good huh? You deserve that for being cocky," he slapped those words to my face. f**k. He was right. It hit me, it hurt me. "You're right," I said dejected. Baekhyun didn't expect my response, he was taken aback "Y-you're pathetic b***h-" "Excuse me?" Mrs. Hwang interjected. "Mr. Byun your word is kinda inappropriate here. If I hear you say that again, you will go to the dean's office," she reprimanded him. Baekhyun suddenly shut his mouth then left us, he didn't even answer to Mrs. Hwang. He's really rude that's why I don't like him. "Are you okay?" Mrs. Hwang asked worried. "I heard him, don't believe him. You don't deserve that." I just gave her a small smile. "Okay, you take a seat," she held my arm then squeezed it briefly. "Thank you Professor T," I bowed to her as a respect then walked to my seat. I glanced at Mrs. Hwang, she was still there standing like a statue and her lips were pouting. Awwwee... so cute. Maybe because I bowed to her like a good student. I never done that to her before, I realized I was being disrespectful to her. I feel bad. Then Yoona came around the corner and sat next to me "Taeng, are you alright?" She was scrutinizing me as if something was missing in me. "Yes Yoong, I'm feeling okay now," I smiled. She's a dork, I missed her. "But where were you? I was worried about you! You didn't answer my calls, you little s**t," she sounded like she was scolding me. "I'm sorry you know, I had a fever," I simply reasoned like it's not a big deal because it's really not. She groaned "But are you sure you're okay now?" I nodded smiling, at least, I have her. My best friend. "But what about this?" She pointed to my chest referring to my heart. I glanced at Mrs. Hwang, she was watching us and I bet she heard Yoona. I just shrugged. "You know if I see Seolhyun I will squeeze her like a piece of paper," she acted like she was crumpling a paper with her sour reaction. I chuckled, sometimes she acts really cute. A cute little dork. I noticed that Yoona looked passed through me "What? What are you looking at? Mind your own business! Bullshit!" She glared at the people behind me. They were talking about me for sure. "Language Ms. Im," Mrs. Hwang strictly said. Yoona glanced at Mrs. Hwang "Sorry Mrs.," then her attention was back to me "We can exchange seats later?" She suggested. Uh-uh, because Seolhyun always sit next to me during our last subject. "No it's fine Yoona, thank you," I could hide my emotion. I'm still hurt because of what happen but I wouldn't be a b***h to Seolhyun. We're just even, she just didn't know. The classroom was filled with students and some of them were giving me weird glances, it was kinda uncomfortable but I tried to act cool. As usual, Mrs. Hwang started the class smooth. I tried hard to listen to her this time but it just led me to check her out 'cuz every time I look at her, I remember the kiss. That wonderful kiss. Oh! She can't say or blame me that I kissed her because she kissed me. Lowkey I wanted her to kiss me rather than I kiss her, it feels rewarding that she'd do that. Lunch time in Mrs. Hwang's classroom, we were eating ham and cheese egg rolls, chicken soup and kimbap made by her. I haven't seen Seolhyun yet. I don't know what will happen or what will I feel when I see her. "Have you seen Seolhyun?" Mrs. Hwang reluctantly asked. I shook my head and continued to gobble the scrumptious foods on the table. "Are you sure you don't want me to change the seating arrangement?" She asked again. "It's okay Professor T, I can handle it," I glanced at her and winked. "Anyway, I will talk to Seolhyun. I will be your tutor starting now instead of her," Mrs. Hwang informed me as she sipped her chicken soup. I turned to her giving her a 'questioning look'. "I already told the dean about us living together and it's okay with him so I decided why you need Seolhyun to be your tutor if I can do it? It's easier because we live together but be prepared 'cuz I won't be that lenient," she stated as she continued to eat like we were in a mukbang. Well, Mrs. Hwang is the most indulgent person that I know, she's really understanding and softhearted. She would be lenient for sure. But is she serious about that? Geez. She's really mad at Seolhyun huh? "Whatever you want Professor T," I turned back to my meal. "Good because I won't take no as an answer," she sternly stated. After lunch, I thought the time would take long but it just easily passed by. Our last period also ended with just a snap, Mrs. Hwang gave our homework then she dismissed us early. I haven't seen Seolhyun, she's absent I guess. We were about to leave the classroom and probably I was going to wait Mrs. Hwang at the parking lot. But before someone could leave the classroom, unexpectedly, Seolhyun came in. She walked in front and everyone was staring at her. Mrs. Hwang glared at her but she quickly covered it with her stringent expression. "Oh... Seolhyun... the class is already over," Mrs. Hwang said the obvious. "Mrs. Hwang, can I have a few minutes to talk to them?" Seolhyun politely requested. Mrs. Hwang glanced at her wristwatch then looked back at Seolhyun "Okay... you still have 10 minutes." Seolhyun toured her eyes around the room then landed on me "Please, I want to say something... To explain myself to all of you. Please hear me out?" She pleaded then all of us were back to our seats, all ears. "Thank you," Seolhyun said. "She better apologize to you," Yoona mumbled to me. She was giving Seolhyun a hard stare. "I know, y'all heard about me and Taeyeon... and the dare. It was true. The dare was true," she started. Yoona gritted her teeth "You a-hole," she hissed. "The dare was to make Taeyeon fall in love with me and be my girlfriend," Seolhyun stared at me like I'm the only one she was talking to. Then we heard a loud laugh coming from Baekhyun "You're such a good actress," he clapped his hands and everyone murmured. "I accepted the dare because..." Seolhyun sighed. "Because I really like Taeyeon," she continued ignoring Baekhyun's comment. Mrs. Hwang looked at her in disbelief so did I. The murmurs got louder but I couldn't comprehend them. "I like Taeyeon. No. I love her," Seolhyun almost shouted. Then everyone began to cheer. They gone crazy. "The dare was to make her fall in love and be my girlfriend but it didn't include to break her heart," she clarified. "I love her so I accepted the dare. I was afraid to tell her but the dare boosted my confidence. I don't know why I did that but everything I showed her was true," she sincerely said. "I love you Taeyeon and I'm sorry because I was coward and just used the dare but believe me, I love you," she smiled as her eyes glistened. "Oh gosh, she bombed it," Yoona commented. "Please forgive me and give me another chance?" Seolhyun begged and her tears fell down her cheeks. Everyone became quiet and I could feel their stares. They were all looking at me, waiting for my answer. I was still shocked. Everything happened so fast and I can't just go with it. I need time to think. Mrs. Hwang looked distraught staring at me, she was also waiting for my answer though. I stood up and walked to Seolhyun "Can we talk outside? Like just the two of us?" I whispered to her. Seolhyun smiled then wiped her tears "Sure," then she walked out of the classroom. I stepped closer to Mrs. Hwang "I will wait you at the parking area," I mumbled to her then I followed Seolhyun outside. We went to the parking area. Seolhyun was fidgeting her fingers as I remained silent. It was awkward but never mind that, we needed to talk. "So..." I started then Seolhyun looked up to me. "You really like me?" She vigorously nodded. Actually I don't know what to say. I'm still speechless. "I'm really sorry Taeyeon about what happened last time. I wanted to explain but I thought I needed to give you time to think. I don't want to hurt you, I swear," she held my hand and squeezed it. I smiled "I'm not mad at you Seol, I can't be mad at you and yes... I like you too." Her face brightened as the corners of her lips quirked up. "But I think... we should be still friends and don't rush things," I added. Her smile almost faded but she covered it up. "You're right, I will wait for you Taeyeon," Seolhyun wrapped her arms around my neck. "I love you and thank you because you're not mad at me," she softly said. I slowly wrapped my arms around her slim waist "I can never be mad at you." Seolhyun gently pulled away to face me and she cupped my cheeks "I'm happy to know that." Slowly, she leaned forward to me and brushed her soft lips to mine. She kissed me, just a short and innocent kiss. We were staring at each other when we heard a bang, it was door of a car. s**t. Well, we were just next to Mrs. Hwang's car. I checked it and she was already inside. Damn. Did she see the kiss? Why would she care anyway? "Um... I have to go now Seolhyun..." I awkwardly said. "Oh... sure, okay..." Seolhyun was blushing. "Me too. See you tomorrow?" She scratched her head and stepped away. "Okay. See you tomorrow Seol," I waved at her. Seolhyun also waved goodbye then she rushed back to the University building. I went into Mrs. Hwang's car in the passenger seat and put my seatbelt on. I glanced at her and she was staring into space. "Professor T?" No response. "Tiffany?" Still no response. "Pani!" Then she looked at me, she was frantic "L-let's go home." Our short journey to our apartment was sorely quiet. Mrs. Hwang was so damn quiet! She didn't talk to me but she gestured to me as her response when I talked to her. As we walked into our apartment, I mean, it's Hyoyeon's apartment but she's my sister and I'm living here so technically, it's ours. Mrs. Hwang paced back and forth, she was anxious like a maniac. "Are you alright, Tiffany?" I asked concerned. She was acting weird. "Don't! Don't say a word!" She shushed me. "I don't know why I'm feeling this but I know this is wrong and I have my fiance! I love him! This weird thing between us should be stopped. Since I first met you, you never leave my mind. You are my student Kim Taeyeon, you are my best friend's younger sister. I can't! I can't do this!" She blurted out as she heaved. I was about to answer but she interrupted me "This must be over! We're over!" She totally bit my head off. After she said that, she walked into Hyoyeon's room leaving me confused and again, broken. ×××××
