Back to Taeyeon's POV
"That's what really happened," Tiffany finished her long clarification as she reminisced it.
So she wasn't married to Minho, that was quite relief and she's not wearing any ring. She was telling the truth, indeed.
I just needed to act tough, I'm not easy to get but I'm happy because she was here to clarify things and justify herself.
"You knew all this?" I asked Hyoyeon. She tolerated Tiffany and kept things from me.
"I'm sorry Taeyeon-"
"I don't need your apologize," I stood up acting frustrated. "I can't believe you lied to me Hyo! All those years? You saw how wretched and broken I was!"
"But look at you now, it turned out good," Hyoyeon concluded.
I irritably wiped my face.
"So you think it's just fine to hurt me and lied to me?" I looked at Tiffany. "That you came back here, explain everything then we could be together again?" I asked Tiffany, challenging her.
"I don't expect anything from you. I just want to apologize, it's up to you if you will forgive me and I just want to explain my side," Tiffany answered while she was fidgeting her fingers. She looked nervous but she covered it up with her blank expression.
"I love you Taeyeon, there's never a day that I didn't think about you," she added. Good point. That made my heart jumped happily. She still loves me! My mind was already celebrating love.
"You're unbelievable! You can just say that easily after you left me?" I asked skeptically.
"Alright! I was guilty to what I did to Minho, I hurt him and I couldn't bear to see him broken," Tiffany explained.
"So it's easy for you to just leave and hurt me!" I countered.
"You don't understand Taeyeon-"
"Yes I don't understand and I will never understand why you did it. You just left me hopeless and broken. Do you really think I would be happy to see you?" I bitterly asked. "You're so full of yourself then. I don't have feelings for you anymore," I lied. I almost choked saying those words but I managed not to and convinced them to be tough.
That silenced Tiffany and tears just kept running down her face. I know that hurts a lot. Dang, that will hit her straight to the heart.
"I'm happy with my life now. I have my own apartment, car and a stable job to support myself. I don't need love and morever, I don't need someone who can leave and hurt me just like that. I'm not just trial and error!" I raised my voice kinda taken by my acting drama skill. Well, I meant those words two years ago.
I needed assurance for this. If she just give up then she don't deserve a second chance.
"You're not just an experiment Taeyeon, I even hate myself before. I don't ever wanna see you like that, you were lifeless and I'm the reason why you got your accident. I was a coward b***h and it hurt me a lot that I cause you pain. Everything messed up and I thought we needed a break for all that happened. I love you. I really do, please believe me. I promise, I won't leave you, never again," Tiffany pleaded as she stood up and walked to me.
"How? How can I trust you if you already did that? You left me and you can always do that if you want," I pushed. I tried to be tough even if I was dying to kiss her.
We were just inches apart and I could smell her familiar scent.
"Just this one chance. Everyday I will make you feel how much I love you," Tiffany held my hand and there were electric shocks that rushed through my body and gave me energy.
Just with one touch, she made me feel so alive.
I took my hand away from her and I regretted it when I saw her hurt expression. I just did that because if not, I will easily give in.
This little act should proceed, this was my little payback. They lied to me but I'm not mad. I'm trying to understand why they did what they did.
Maybe it wasn't really our time to be together. It was all in past now, there's nothing we can do about it.
"I-I have to go now. Anyway... welcome back Professor T," I stared deeply through her eyes searching for something. I found comfort, full of hope and love.
I turned around walked away.
"Taeyeon?" Hyoyeon called me.
"Don't worry sis, I'm not mad at you and I'm going home to my apartment," I opened the main door and before I left I said "Chow." I closed the door and tears of joy began to pour down.
Welcome home Tiffany, I'm happy to see you again. You're already forgiven and I still love you. I wish I could say those words.
Early morning. I prepared myself to go to work but before that, I'm going to meet Seolhyun in a coffee shop. There's this guy that keeps bothering her so I have to help her.
I took my bag and car keys then went outside. In my surprise, there's the eye smile queen holding a cup of coffee from my favorite coffee shop.
"Good morning to you my love, coffee? Hyoyeon told me, it's your favorite," she informed. So it's Hyoyeon huh? Nice try.
"Sorry but I don't drink coffee in the morning," that's not a lie. I drink coffee after work.
Tiffany looked disappointed but she still smiled "Okay... let me just drive you to your work."
"No thank you," I started to walk.
"I insist Tae," she followed me. Gosh, I missed her calling me like that.
"Do you have nothing to do?" I entered the elevator and tapped the G button, she quicly went in too.
"I have nothing to do, not until you give me a chance. I won't send application to any University, I just want to make it up to you first," Tiffany compromised.
You already won my heart back, boo.
"I'm going to meet Seolhyun," I flatly said.
"Oh, you're still friends with her..." I could sense jealousy in her voice.
The elevator dinged and it opened, I walked out to the parking area and Tiffany still followed me.
"Go home or go somewhere else," I shooed her.
"No, I will follow you till you get safely to your work. Also, I will be there after your work," she winked at me.
I blushed. Damn it.
Tiffany giggled "Cute."
"Whatever," I unlocked my car and went inside then I saw Tiffany walked away. Her hips were swaying sexily and I could see her perfect curve with her tight red dress.
Geez, I thought she would come with me.
I went to the coffee shop and saw Seolhyun inside with a guy in front of her. I walked to them and invited myself to join them.
"Hey Seol," I greeted.
"Oh... hey babe," Seolhyun sweetly replied. "Come sit."
I sat next to her and the guy was across the table.
"And who's this beautiful lady, Seolhyun?" The guy asked.
Then I saw Tiffany sat next to our table, sipping the coffee she bought for me.
"Oh let me introduce you my girlfriend, Kim Taeyeon. Babe, this is Steve my colleague," Seolhyun leaned to me as she put her chin on my shoulder.
Tiffany choked loudly, I glanced at her and she was shocked to hear that.
"You're gay?" Steve asked skeptically.
"So gay," Seolhyun aswered with no doubts then she held me and intertwined our hands.
"No. I don't believe you. You two looks so straight," he claimed.
I smirked. He's blind then.
"Straight huh?" I turned to Seolhyun and kissed her cheek. "She's my girlfriend since college so stay away from her. Stop bugging her, Seolhyun is mine," I possessively said. It's just an act okay. We're doing this for years.
Steve scruched up his face, he looked disgusted. Great. He buy it!
"Please don't do that in front of me," he stood up. "I'm out of here lesbians," then he walked off.
"Thank you babe, I owe you," Seolhyun sweetly said then kissed my cheek.
I saw Tiffany stood up and rushed out of the coffee shop, she left her coffee.
"Um... I gotta go Seol," I said in hurry and stood up.
"Sure. Thank you again," she waved goodbye so did I.
This act is over, I'm so done with it.
