Chapter 37 Turkish soldiers rush into the dining hall, and alarms blare. The children stop what they are doing and run to the designated safe areas. “Mr. President,” a soldier says, panting for air after dashing to Ivan. “The Syrian Army is approaching, and it isn’t safe. You must leave now.” “Thank you, soldier.” Ivan shouts in the direction of his companions, “Get on the bus now! Hurry!” He calls to his agents and directs them to make sure everyone is accounted for. Then he motions for Margaret to come with him. In the near distance, explosions sound. At each deep rumble, the ground shakes and sends tremors through the gathered men and women.
