No sooner had Aggie’s body slammed against the back wall of the tunnel then did the much-needed slack of the belt let her know that Talon was about to join her. Talon rammed into the wall of the waterfall with his head and would have been able to stop himself had he known it was there. As it was, he only had time to pull his body up to the surface and was instantly dragged under again by the weight of Aggie hanging on the end of the belt. An instant later, he was behind the waterfall and upside down. As soon as he could breathe he took a deep breath and fell headlong onto the rough stone slab where Aggie was now sitting. She heard him inhale a deep wheezing breath and felt his body land next to her. Then the belt went tight and nothing more happened. “Talon!” she called but got no respo
