Chapter 23 Manipulating Gravity

“Huh?? Mr. Clarke?! Which Mr. Clarke?! What’s the situation?!” Matthew was taken aback. Senior Mr. Quincy also looked at the dishes and the man in confusion. “Oh! Handsome, would you please do me a favor and explain to them? I have to serve the dishes first.” The man nodded towards Vincent before he left. “What’s this for, Vincent?” Senior Mr. Quincy asked. “Oh, here’s the case,” Vincent told them what had happened just now briefly. He ignored the conflict and only mentioned that he ran into Chairman Martin and Mr. Clarke at the same time. Since the latter followed Chairman Martin’s advice and wanted him to treat his wife, their dinner was free. “Oh, I see! Hahaha, good for you, Vincent! Aren’t you a capable man?! Although we are not lacking money to pay for the dinner, it’s still a pleasure that others are willing to check for me. I haven’t got treated like this after my retirement for a long time!” Senior Mr. Quincy praised Vincent and said it loud enough so that the rest could hear him. Everyone nodded awkwardly. Vincent nodded, “Grandpa, Chairman Martin asked me to say hello to you, and he will toast you later.” “Yeah, well, Martin... I used to hug him when he was still a child... His father is a good friend of mine... But he has been in poor health and went back to the countryside later. We don’t talk as much as before.” Senior Mr. Quincy shook his head, sighing for the past. The person in charge went in and out again to serve more dishes, the best they could offer, which astonished Natalie even if she was a rich girl. Karen and Matthew were also surprised. Those they had served were worth at least 10,000! And that was because of their “son-in-law”? “Grandpa! Uncle Matthew! Where have you been just now?” Vincent asked. Senior Mr. Quincy nodded and pointed outside, “I took your uncle to the antique shop, which locates diagonally across the street.” “Ah? Why the antique shop, Grandpa?” Natalie asked. Clare also watched them gently. “For the sake of our business, of course.” Senior Mr. Quincy shook his head, “Environmental protection is an easy but competitive industry! To win orders, we have to make connections!” Matthew nodded, “Aren’t we fighting for the environmental protection project of the Elliot Industrial Group? Their boss likes such things, so your grandpa and I went there to see if we can pick some to show our respect.” “Dad, that requires proper environmentally friendly products, otherwise, even if we give him some gifts, we may not be able to deal with their projects on paper and aluminum industries technically. After all, they both are heavily polluting projects.” Clare was indeed the heir of the company. Even if she just recovered from a serious illness, she analyzed rationally. Matthew nodded, “That’s right, Clare. During your illness, the company’s R&D department has been working hard to develop a new sewage treatment agent, still in the experimental stage though. But our time is limited. So, we can start from their boss to win the project!” “Okay, okay, let’s talk about it later! The dinner today is for two reasons: one to celebrate that Clare is much better, and the other is to introduce Vincent to our family.” Everyone nodded, bearing different thoughts. Senior Mr. Quincy said so while greeting the rest to eat. All of them enjoyed the meal because the table was full of delicacies and expensive drinks. Carl was struggling to deal with the Australian big lobster. Somehow, he couldn’t open the hard shell, and muttered angrily, “What the hell! Why don’t they cut it in advance?!” Obviously, he hadn’t seen or eaten it before. And the rest seemed the same, not even laying their fingers on the lobster, which weighed three catties each. Vincent smiled, “May I help you?” “You?” Carl was embarrassed right now, so he looked at Vincent, “You know how to deal with this?!” “Of course! I used to eat it in my childhood.” Vincent smiled as he talked nonsense. His expression was proud as if saying “I used to be rich as well. Don’t you underestimate me!” And then he turned around the dishes. The huge lobster finally stopped in front of him. Everyone was taken aback. Vincent stood up slowly, holding a knife in one hand and a fork in the other. He first pressed the “stubborn” lobster, and then plunged the knife directly into a gap in the shell, and then sliced. The hard lobster shell suddenly opened up like a diced beef, and the white, tender, and smooth meat bloomed out. He was so skillful that others believed he either cooked it a lot or had eaten a lot. Those around him were even more shocked, and they secretly praised him in their hearts. Compared with others, Senior Mr. Quincy smiled quite calmly, rubbed his beard, as if saying “my grandson-in-law is so modest to hide”. Carl was stunned for a while before he finally gathered himself. Then he stood up, picked up the shiny spoon and fork, dug a large spoonful of tender lobster meat from the shell, and passed it to Clare’s bowl. “Clare, you just got recovered. Eat this! This must be the most delicious and it’s good for your health!” Carl looked flattering and disgusting. Unexpectedly, the lobster meat in the spoon slipped before he stretched out his hand, and then dropped into the hot soup which had been served just now! A large bit of soup splashed directly! And they happened to drop on the relatives and Carl. “Ahhhh!!!” They were all badly hurt and jumped up suddenly. “Carl, watch your manners, will you?!” Senior Mr. Quincy glared at Carl. “I, I, I...” Carl shook his clothes and pants aggrievedly. “Just get seated. I can reach it by myself. And, don’t touch it if you don’t know how.” Clare said lightly, sounding like she didn’t like Carl as well. Vincent smiled and moved his fingers slightly. The truth was, he performed the power of decomposition on the tip of the knife when he dealt with the lobster. Although he neither did it right nor started from the right place, the shell was too weak in front of his power. Naturally, he sliced it easily! Immediately afterwards, Vincent applied the power on the large piece of lobster that Carl dug up. It was indeed a nice piece of meat. But Carl was too shameless that he took advantage of Vincent right after the lobster was separated. Vincent was pissed, so he decomposed the meat first so that it would slip down, and then synthesized it into several balls before they dropped. Last but not least, he multiplied the gravity of the balls. He did all this within a moment, so the lobster balls banged into the hot soup like a bullet! As expected, the soup splashed all over them! As for gravity... Vincent suddenly felt a strong sense of excitement inwardly. Could the prehistorical powers in his body also work on the virtual elements like gravity?!
