Morning ruined

Ethan's POV Back in my hotel suite I try Claire's number again to see if I will get her this time, hopefully she's not asleep yet. The call goes through but she's doesn't pick up on the first ring so I try again. I really hope she's not asleep. All this wouldn't be necessary if I could mind link her or if I could feel her emotions, I would know what's up with her twenty four seven. She picks up on the second ring and I sigh relieved. "I hope I didn't wake you." I say and I hear her chuckle. "No you didn't, I'm actually heading to the room." She says and I smile finally hearing her voice. It's been like a day since I heard her voice. "I already missed that voice of yours." I admit and I can imagine her blushing right now. "So you're at an international forum." She says and I nod to myself. "Yes little wolf. And I'm so sorry I didn't tell you. It escaped my mind." I admit then wonder how many times I've used those words. Definitely it I won't be using it anymore. It's like an excuse and I don't like giving excuses, but I did actually forget to tell her I'd be gone for two days. I only remembered when we pull up to the airport. "It's okay, I get that you're busy." I smile. "So how's everything back there? I hope my mom isn't wearing you out." I chuckle again. "Not at all, well not yet." I chuckle at her last statement. My expression turns serious when I ask the next question. "What about Arthur, I hope he's not bothering you?" Claire chuckles making me calm down a bit. "I barely see him in a day, you shouldn't be worried about that." She adds and I can imagine her smiling. "Just be careful around him little wolf." I add for caution. "Okay your highness." She says sarcastically and I smile. "Founder's day is coming right?" I ask and she pauses a bit. "Yeah, it's the day you arrive." She replies. "Well there's this family tradition we do in pairs and I was hoping you'd pair up with me." "There's a family tradition?" She states clearly surprised and I laugh. "Wasn't that part of the pamphlet." I tease and I can imagine her rolling her eyes at me. "No it wasn't, and the thought that your mother has another pamphlet about that lying around is not comforting." I laugh at her response and I realize her voice is a bit distant. "It's nothing to worry about. I'll teach you all of them when I get back but till then you're mine for the tradition." I hear some movements in the back ground. "And what about after." She lowers her voice a bit provocatively and I have to clear my throat. "There's gonna be a surprise for you." I state and I hear her chuckle but it's a distant one. "Your voice seems far." I state and I hear some movements again. "Sorry, I'm changing into my nightwear." She says and I close my eyes imagining her in her favorite nightwear that makes her even sexier. "I hope you're not daydreaming about me in my nightwear?" Her beautiful voice breaks me out of my daydream and I hear her chuckle. "Is it weird I miss seeing you in your nightwear." I hear her lying on the bed. "You've just been gone for a day Ethan, not years." She chuckles and I smile. Heaven knows I can't stay away from her for long. It kills me with worry not knowing what's going on with her. "But I will admit the bed feels cold without you...., and big which means more room for stretching." She openly admits she misses me too before covering it up. I smile like a little teenage boy hearing the girl she loves saying I love you back. She suddenly yawns and I smile wider. "I'll gonna leave you to rest now. I know you must be exhausted." I state and she protests. "It's okay, I'm not going anywhere tomorrow." She states and I smile again. I guess we're going to be talking until she falls asleep. * * Claire's POV I wake up to my phone by my side and I smile remembering how I spoke with Ethan until I fell asleep. I climb out of bed yawning before hitting the showers. I stare into the mirror whilst wiping my hair and I have a minor flashback of the smile I saw before the mirror shattered. I shake my head out of the trance and reach for the blow dryer which I accidentally knock down. I sigh and bent over to pick it up but imagine my surprise when I find it floating mid way to the ground. My eyes widen with fear and I move back a bit startled. I'm hit with a feeling of deja vu and I take in deep breaths to calm myself down. I bent over again and grab the handle of the blow dryer and nothing happens. I place it back on the counter and stare at it. "Am I losing my mind or something?" I say out loud then stare at the bracelet on my wrist. I'm not supposed to have my witch powers. What the hell is happening again? I exhale frustrated before running both hands through my hair. It's been a while since I had any nightmares though. I take in a deep breath and exhale hard again When Ethan comes I'll have to tell him though, I promised to tell him everything from now onwards. I change into a beautiful keyhole swing dress and move downstairs to start my day. Hopefully along the way I'll forget what happened earlier. On my way out of the castle I spot Arthur at the entrance with Lucas and it looks like he is grilling him. He later dismisses Lucas and since he didn't see me I decide to choose another exit route. "I hope you're not avoiding me." His voice calls out to me and I frown. S**t! "Why would I?" I turn around with a small smile on my face and he approaches me with that cocky grin and his hands behind him. "I don't know. You tell me. You're the one avoiding me for some reason." He continues to grin as I force a smile. I really want to avoid him the whole of today. I'm honestly not in the mood to be satisfying his curiosities. I promised Ethan to stay away from him too. "It's like you're hiding something, something you don't want me to know." He adds and I chuckle. "Is this still about my identity?" He nods slightly and I chuckle again. "I don't get why you're so secretive about it." I exhale hard. "What's there to know. I'm just a normal wolf from a normal pack miles and miles away." He chuckles at my reply. "And what rank did you hold in your pack?" He continues to question and I start to feel a bit uncomfortable. "I didn't hold any." He creases his forehead. "You don't act or smell like an omega, surely you must be of a higher rank." I chuckle to myself. It seems status is really important to him. "My father was the alpha, if that's what you want to know." He smiles to himself. "Yes, that is what I meant." He concludes. "Well I hope your curiosity has been fed, Arthur." He grins at me. "No, not really." I look him straight in the eyes, all joking matters aside. "Please excuse me." He nods before I walk away from him with his gaze boring holes in my back. I sigh relieved when I'm far but continue to walk not sparing one glance back.
