Chapter One
Lyra's POV
“Lyra, we're home!” I heard Mom's voice and Dad's chuckle as they entered the house.
“Coming, I'm dressing,” I yelled out.
“Dressing? Where are you heading to, and why are you still here? Shouldn't you be at your apartment?” Mom asked.
“Skye said to meet her in the pack house, she said wanted to take me shopping today for my wedding,” I said, putting on the outfit I wanted to wear. “Wait, am I not allowed to come into my home anymore?” I yelled back, feeling excited.
“It's not like that sweetie, it's just that you're getting married two days from now, so I was just wondering,” Mom said a little quietly. What did you say about the shopping?”
“Oh, you girls are going shopping, Hun?” Dad said with a teasing tone.
“Dad, come on, it's just shopping,” I said going down the stairs to see the smiles plastered on their faces.
“ What, it's not like I'm teasing you or anything, I just repeated the 'shopping' part, that's all.”
“ Okay fine, it was Eldeic who told me to go meet I'm at the pack house, well, it was both Skye and Eldeic who asked me to go meet them there.”
“ I know, I know,” Mom said while giggling. “ Oh, I have already picked out the flower, and it goes perfectly well with the dress.” Mom said, giggling like a teenager. “Oh, I'm nervous.”
“How are you nervous? I'm the one who's getting married, not you. I should be the one who's getting nervous, not you.” said in one breath.
“ Okay sweetie, calm down and get going, we're both tired,” Mom said, pushing me out the door.
“Oh, can I borrow your car? Nine's at the repair shop?” I asked with an adorable baby eye.
“No, the pack house is not that far, you can manage.” She said, pushing me out of the house and slamming the door in my face.
“Wow, that was beautiful, I guess I have to walk for about an hour and a half, if I'm lucky to see someone who 9s kind enough to help me then it's an hour or forty minutes,” I sighed.
I got to the pack house in an hour and twenty minutes. “ Wow, I guess I was a bit fast,” I said, resting on a well in front of the pack house.
I took my cell phone out and dialed Skye's number. It kept ringing, but no one picked up. I called Eldeic's number, but it was the same as Skye's number.
“ What's wrong with both of them? Why aren't they picking?'' I said and opened the door to the pack house. By now, the guards already know that I'm a regular because my father is an elder in the pack, so I can go in and out of the pack house however I like, well, except when they have family meetings and other personal things.
“Hey Bobby, did Skye and Edeic come in here today?”
“Yes, there are, it's been about two hours that they've been here. They haven't gone out yet, so you can still meet them.”
“ Okay, thanks Bobby,” I said, entering the pack house.
I went to the third floor, which was for the normal members to hang out in. I got to the third floor and was going deeper, "I wonder where Skye and I are going shopping. I hope it's…” I stopped upon hearing some sounds, well, it sounded more like moans.
“ Hmm, I wonder who those are, I better mind my business and go look for Skye and Eldeic,” I said as I passed the door where the moans were coming from. Until I heard a female voice saying" Eldeic, you're so wild and sexy.” The girl's voice sounded like Skye's.
I felt my heart stop for a while before it continued breathing. “ What was that I just heard? Oh moon goddess, please do tell me it's what I think it is,” I prayed and begged in my heart.
I slowly opened the door and was welcomed by Eldice, behind Skye, f*cking her like he's life depended on it. I felt a sharp pain in my heart and tears started to fall from yes. I opened my mouth to say something because I had a lot to say, but the only word that came out was “why?”
They didn't even have a look of remorse on their faces, and it pained me even more.
Edeic didn't say anything and went to pick up the shower robe and covered his nakedness before passing one to Skye.
“ Why did you guys do this to me?” I yelled.
“ Because you bring shame to the pack with your fragility, others look down on you with your weakness, you're so weak; I doubt you can accomplish anything. Need I go on?” Edeic said without blinking.
I couldn't bring myself to say anything because I was too shocked to talk. I just stared at him. Skye was laughing her head off. I turned to look at Skye and asked, “You never said you liked him?
“Oh sweetie, I don't like him, I love him. And you made him pity your stupid ass all these years and I hated it, I felt like killing you the day you showed me the ring he gave you when he asked you to be his wife.” Skye said with bitterness in her.
“What about your mate? Are you just going to leave him in pain?” I asked, even in the situation I was in.
“ That's none of your business, I can do whatever I want. '' She replied with no emotion.
I feel sorry for your mate for having a mate like you, I feel sorry that the moon goddess gave him a mate as heartless and ungrateful as you.”
“What did you say?" Skye yelled and was about to jump at me but was stopped by Edeic.
"Lyra, get out, I never loved or cared about you, I only pitied you because you looked vulnerable and the pack members were building you that's the only reason."
