I look up and see about 4 wolfs, 3 warriors, and Rick. I told you I would find you b***h he yells. You thought that that weakling Paul could save you? I killed him as easily as I am going to kill your little pack of rouges.  I’m so mad I don’t even realize that I had shifter and am towering over the other wolfs. Rick looks at me with eyes about the size of saucers.  I let out a loud growl and am matched with many others from my pack. The Red Ruby Pack all seem to back down and those who were in wolf form seem to shift back into human form. Even Rick seems to have been taken aback by my size. This isn’t possible he says. Your kind has been extinct for centuries. I shift back and am surprised to see that my clothing is still intact. I look at Aiden and he smiles at me. You s**t I mouth to him and he laughs. I look back at Rick. We want no trouble. We would like to leave your territory and find out own. You will not take my son or the witches’ son with you. I will take my mates wherever I please as long as they are willing. There is no way that you have 2 mates. Only a succubus can have 2 mates….. He trails off. As I say these words, I know them to be true. I just need to know what exactly I am. I walk to my bike and get on not saying another word. I feel my bike dip down a little. I smile knowing that its Aiden on the back and Kale is in his Jeep with Brody next to me. The girls are in a red 1997 Dodge crew cab with Brice driving. I’m not sure where we are heading but I am hopeful. This is only the beginning. We drive until I can’t drive any more. We decide to find a place to sleep after driving through 3 states just to get as far as we can from the Black Ruby territory. I think it’s called Bear Cliff not sure though. We park outside a nice-looking hotel. Anyone hungry before we get a room I ask. All in unison they say we are. I laugh okay guys lets get some grub. We start walking across the street to this dinner and are stopped by a couple bears fighting in the street. I laugh at the sight of the fight. They stop and shift back into human form. Both are older men. One of them ask, what are you laughing at? He seams to be the one that was losing, mostly because he is bloody while the other is not. I’ve just never seen a couple bears fighting before, I say. Brice asks don’t you have an alpha to control all fighting and such. The other man spits at the ground and says we don’t need an alpha and there isn’t one that is powerful enough to control our sleuth. Well you have one know I say. They look at one another and start laughing. After a couple minutes I’m irritated and ask are you done yet. The older of the 2 looks at me and says your serious. I just nod my head. Well if that’s the case my name is Ellie, and this is my brother Mack. We need to send you to Tess at the dinner, she will decide if you are worthy or not. It won’t be easy, Ellie says. Hey Aiden, can you help there gentlemen out please I ask. With a wave of his hand the men are in street clothes. We walk into the dinner that my group was originally going to and meet this Tess person. Hey Tess, Mack says, and she turns around dropping the plate she had in her hand. Tess is a petite brunet with a pixie hair cut and a couple tattoos on her arms and neck. What are you doing here Kayla? Um Kayla was my mom my name is Tayla. Did you know my mom? She stands back up and clears her throat. Yes, I knew your mother where is she now? She died about 10 years ago protecting me, I think. Tess sits down and starts crying. Minutes pass and I wait for her to finish. When she finally can collect herself, she asks what are you doing here with this mix of creatures. Well that’s a long story, if you have the time and some food for us to eat, I will tell you everything. She takes our orders and closes the dinner up. Shewing the last of the people out, so we can be alone. She brings us our food. Everyone waits for me to take the first bite, then start eating their food. I start telling my story, by the end Tess is crying and both my mates are rubbing my arms to comfort me. I let one tear free, clear my throat and say that is why I would like to be the Alpha of this territory. I want to make the strongest pack ever known and I need land and shifters to do that. It will be a pack of the outcasts the rejects. Any shifter that is kicked out of there pack for having different opinions or different mates. Tess looks at me in awe. You have the same viewpoint as your mother did little raven. How do you know about that name? She chuckles who do you think gave you that name, me that’s who. Ellie says what about the trials. Oh yes, I’m sorry but you do have to go through the trials before becoming the alpha of our territory. They will begin tomorrow so get some sleep, for tomorrow will make or break you. She looks right at my mates you two can not help her at all. She must do this on her own or be banished from this land. So says the laws passed down through the generations.
