“It's almost like you've been here your whole life,” Doctor Kyle smiled kindly at me as I washed my hands.
“Well technically I have, I worked in the clinic at my pack for many years. Our pack doctor taught me everything I know,” I smiled at him and he stared at me with sad eyes.
“Do you ever miss them?” He asked and I stared at him in confusion.
“Your pack,” he clarified and I sighed.
“Sometimes, other times I simply try my best to keep them at the back of my thoughts,” I explained to him and he remained silent. There was just something about Doctor Kyle that made him easy to talk to.
“Well, I think you have a new family now, not the warmest but a budding family nevertheless.” He assured me and all I offered him was a hesitant smile.
