*Sapphire POV
"All i have to do?" i whispered back
Elmarie pulled back turned to address the crowd "As you all know i watched this young child when she was a pup but there is something that all of you know that will prove she is the real last remaining royal"
Now it was my time to Gasp 'Royal' no ways can that be true, i am just a ordinary person on the run from my mad uncle that wants me dead,
I cant be
There is no way that is possible Trent's arms wrapped even tighter around me why did he not tell me this, i stood there shocked on this new revealing information, if that's true my daughter will be in more danger now than ever
"Elmarie" i whispered
Still my mind was in a frenzy clearing my throat i moved away from Trent's grasp on my waist and walked towards her "I-I'm not the last one if this is true i have a daughter Phoebe her life will be in more danger than mine"
I heard a growl coming from Roland again as he tried to take a step forward, I felt my heart begin to race as panic now taking over my body from this news, i felt like my whole world is crashing around me my knees giving out underneath me as i was about to hit the floor it never reach that far Trent rushed forward as did Roland to pull me up
Trent began to growl at Roland for touching my arm but i felt safe, for the life of me i could feel a shift in my body as if i was been pulled closer to him shaking my head from not understanding
I quickly pulled myself together as my mind began to clear i had to now more than ever get my Uncle to stop this antics i had to protect my daughter and I'll die trying if i have to, my pup's life means more than my own i pulled away from both of them Elmarie stepped closer she must of realized that there is more at stake than myself now
"Elmarie what do i have to do in order to prove who i am" its now or never i need these allies in my corner if i'm going to get through this battle she looked me right in the eyes
"Sapphire i know its difficult but i need you to begin to change into your wolf form but not all the way you need to reach to half the shift and there will be the Royal mark on your neck just below your earlobe it will be the shape of a full moon and the letter R in the middle of it" she took a step back and everyone else stepped forward to see if they can see my mark.
I nodded my head in agreement knowing what i need to do but i haven't ever tried this before i turned towards Trent
"Baby" i mind linked him "how do i do this i haven't done this before... can i do it"
He took me in his arms "love your can do anything your strong and powerful you can do this think of Phoebe how it has now changed your priorities she needs all the protection she can get I love you"
"Why didn't you tell me this all before" I asked needing to know the truth as to why he kept this from me
"i didn't know how to.... honestly you have been so occupied with everything going on i didn't want to add more onto your plate i'm sorry really sorry for not telling you, you have been through so much already love" the look on his face described exactly how sorry he was a tear slipped down his cheek with a frown on his face like he had betrayed me in away of keeping this information to himself
I felt broken he should never feel this way, he is my mate, my love, the father of our child, he has given me so much he has protected me, saved me and all i have given him is pain torment going through all of these fights to a point of loosing me to but now I know why, all he wants to do is protect his family i pulled him closer placed my hands on his cheeks and placed my lips onto his and kissed him gently he stood there in shock until he started to kiss me back, grabbing my waist it felt like it was just the two of us in that moment needing air i pulled away when someone cleared their throat and growling could be heard.
I felt my cheeks redden, blushing as i hid my face in the crook of his neck, I forgot that we where around so many people, Alphas no less that came to help us and here i'm stuck in my own world kissing my mate.
"I'm sorry" I turned to face everyone Trent's arms wrapped around my body again i looked from the corner of my eye trying to peek at them all some smiled some looking down but the most weird of them all was the look on Alpha Roland's face it was anger he looked right at me then lowered his face to look at the ground
I looked at Trent he unwrapped his arms and he knew it was now of never he stepped back i tried to focus on my wolf as i felt her come forward but some reason there was a block she wasn't allowing me to shift, 'please' i spoke into my mind 'No' was all i got back
'please we have to' i said
again i tried but nothing
'Sapphire don't its not safe here don't try it again' she replied and blocked me i looked up and everyone shook their heads now whispering between themselves
"Trent she says its not safe" i mind linked him, no reply i think he was paying to much attention to the chatter
'told you its not her'
'waste of our time'
'she tried to fool us'
'what was the meaning of all this'
'pathetic'
I hung my head low not knowing what to say everyone started to move around as if they where about to leave but my attention went to the guy on the phone looking at me but quickly walked out when his eyes met mine
Trying to call my wolf forward again
"we need to do this we need to protect our pup" i tried to reason with her but silence was all i got in return
'Please' i begged her but nothing then i felt my mind open
'NOW shift now' she literally yelled at me and i did, i did exactly what she said
Heat rose around me my eyes turning yellow as my sight became clearer and my neck burnt i tried to reach my neck with my hands to try and ease the burning but i couldn't, i turned to my side and everyone froze dead in their tracks and hands went to their mouths then the whispers happened again
'its true'
'shes the remaining royal'
'impossible'
'we're safe'
'its really the princess'
they all turned to step forward and a loud growl escaped my lips warning then to stay away they stepped back and began to knell,
my head began to pain and my knees buckled as i started to see dots form in my mind 'Thank you' is all i whispered out to my wolf as my body began to go limp failing to keep me up as i hit the floor, all i felt was pain but then a soft gentle hand under my head stopping it from banging onto the concrete beneath us and then shouting started and darkness surrounded me
