Chapter 2: The Rempire

Third Person

The body of an injured woman was discovered by the servants last night near the border of a well-known family. The family's head and his wife entered the guestroom to see if the young woman was recovering. They immediately helped her and treated her wound because she was unconscious and injured.

"She has woken up, Madame Unice" said the servant who was assigned to monitor the woman's condition. The couple turned to her and nodded.

"All right, you can go," Unice said. The servant immediately left the room with the medicine kit, leaving Unice and her husband Rafael behind.

They recognized the woman as soon as they saw her face. They had no idea that they would finally find the woman they had been looking for for so long.

"I'm sure she's the Montiels' daughter. We need to hide her before Davon finds her," Rafael explained to his wife. They knew that the moment she was discovered by Davon, it would lead to a great war just as it had before.

"You're right. She even looks like her father, Light. If only her parents hadn't died, every clan would have lived in peace", Unice replied with sadness in her heart. They had a really good relationship with the woman's parents.

"It's better that we let her rest first, and I'll just wait for your son to come from Levathian," Unice agreed, before leaving the room where Crest was recovering. They left her still dreaming about what had happened to her grandfather, Gordon.

KING'S EMPIRE

"Where the hell is she?!" shouted the woman with glazed eyes as she held the glass with only red liquid. Blood. She looked at her servants in front of her as if she wanted to devour them.

The servant bowed and said, "Forgive us, My Queen. Lucresia hid her. She also masked her smell, making it hard for us to smell and locate her."

Devon, the queen of the King's empire. She is the current and powerful ruler of evil vampires who is sowing terror.

"Find her! I'm sure the Hunter Tribe hasn't found her yet! We have to get ahead of the hunters before they find her first," Devon yelled fiercely.

"Yes, my queen," the servant replied, and they walked out.

"Don't worry, sister, because I will still take care of my niece", Devon whispered to herself before drinking the blood in the glass. She was excited and started to be impatient with her evil plans. Crest is one of the most important instruments to conquer the world.

CREST

I jolted out of sleep with the words, "My body hurts.." after recalling the previous evening's activities. I sprang up right away and realized I was in an unfamiliar room.

Where am I? I asked myself, thinking that the enemy had already caught me while I was unconscious.

I could feel that there were Vampires around so I grabbed Lucresia's necklace. I suddenly remembered Lucresia. It's not all a dream, she's dead. I grabbed a sharp object from the bedroom before I peeked outside the door to see if there was a vampire watching. When I made sure there was nothing, I immediately left the room and went down the house.

Although this mansion appears to be a typical home, I get a strange feeling that a vampire is present. Have they discovered me? I must flee because I will not let them kill me either. In the spacious living room, I overheard vampires conversing with those seated on the sofa. To avoid their notice, I moved slowly behind them.

There was a woman and two men there, so I was careful with my actions. When I make a mistake, it's over. As I was walking by, I noticed a lengthy hallway with a huge door at the end of it. I'm fairly certain it's the exit from the vampire-infested mansion.

I am almost free.

LORENZ

"You mean you didn't look for her and found her on your own?" I asked Uncle Rafael and Aunt Unice.

"Exactly" Aunt Unice asked, while showing her worried face.

"What if the Kings and Hunters find out that she is here? There will definitely be a War", I answered them. I don't want to fight the Kings as much as possible. Especially when I'm facing the person that I need to forget.

Aunt Unice added, "That's why we have to hide and protect her, because she is the only key in keeping the balance of good and evil."

"Then.." Tito Rafael seemed to be reading my mind.

"You're right. It's up to her if she chooses the side of evil, but I hope not-- I'm still not finished with my words.

"Madame Unice!" We all turned around when a servant suddenly appeared and was obviously agitated.

"Why? What's the problem?" Aunt Unice asked in confusion.

"It's Lady Crest"

"Why?" Tito Rafael and I stood up when Crest's name was mentioned.

"She's missing" my eyes widened.

"Find her!" I ordered, so she obeyed immediately.

I hope she hasn't gotten out of big trouble. It will be a problem if the Kings discover her.

CREST

Just as I was ready to open the door, someone spoke up. I halted and turned to face him, aiming the knife I was holding in his direction. I'll fight him since it's my one chance to gamble and possibly save myself.

I yelled, "Stay where you are!" at him.

He was a man with pale skin and still wearing a school uniform. I'm sure he's a vampire. Just now my blood is heating up and I want to attack and kill him. He has no right to act like a person.

"Hunters.." he said.

In an instant, he had the knife pointed at my neck while holding it with his right hand. While he was behind me, his left hand was hugging my waist. I was surprised at the speed of the incident. He moved so fast.

"Let me go. You monster! I'll kill you" I shouted at him. I tried to get away from him. I elbowed him in the waist so he let go of me.

When I got out, I immediately ran fast because he was faster than me, so he immediately pulled me and we hit the hall. We fell down and rolled in the hallway while fighting for the knife. Because he was stronger, he was on top of me and the knife was aimed at me.

"What kind of Hunter are you? You're coming here with only a knife and you're too weak!" I was annoyed by what he said.

"I'm not a Hunter! You're the ones who kidn*pped me! Let me go!" I struggled as I realized that I couldn't escape anymore.

He was looking into my eyes. Is he controlling me? Sorry but he can't do that. The vampire's power to hypnotize has no effect on me. Even though his eyes are red, I'm not afraid of him.

"You liar .. I'm going to finish you, Hunters!" he raised the knife in the air and tried to stab the knife. NO! I yelled in my mind and closed my eyes.

"Gray Rempire! Don't!"

R-rempire..? I was stunned by what I heard.
