BLACK IN HER EYES.

When darkness gets a taste of light, it will not stop until it swallows it wholly. Your eyes,my eyes, your fate and mine are like the moon and the Sun that rule the night and day respectively.Nothing can ever bring them together not even the tide on the ocean can ever bring them together, like paraffin and water.This story begins with Philemon Dramani, the tragic hero who expresses himself concerning his father's death and the unbelievable evidence he finds out about his girlfriend Alleni Belinda with whom he co-habits.He states plainly how much he has come to hate her and this later leads him into commiting a sin of Passion hence his downfall.

CHAPTER ONE.

It starts with a brief exposition of the narrator, Philemon's background.We are able to see that Philemon's bad luck starts at a tender age of childhood when he was neglected by his parents who were always busy to attend to him hence he was a lonely person since.His Dad,Mr.Drani Benedict is a business man owning up to five companies, all dealing in cosmetics while his mom, Mrs.Linda Benedict is a professional actress, model and author who is always on the road, traveling from country to country hence neglecting the poor Philemon who is not allowed to leave the house to go out but there are house helps he can send on errands and this greatly affects his social life whereby he has no friends. We see for many years that Philemon lived in luxury in his parents' house, well tutored in the ways of the world by experience teacher through all levels of education from home, he is still unhappy and desires to see the outside world but how was the question because the security around was inescapable and so one time, Philemon at 22 ,escapes out of the house by packing himself in a box that is being put among the package boxes hence his gate way to freedom. And so, Philemon is taken to an unfriendly location which is different from what he expects.

Later we see that Philemon finds himself in a messy situation whereby he is captured by rebels in central Africa in a rainforest of which he has no idea and soon begins to regret his escape and love for a cruel world which he has come to know. Three months in the rebels camp was fire on the mountain for Philemon and the rest of the children who were being abducted by the rebels. Boys are taught to kill and raid neighboring villages while girls are to cook and sexually appease the males and whenever a girl gets pregnant, she is killed on spot to sound warning to the rest and this is life at the rebels camp.

But we also get to see that Philemon finds his love, his girlfriend Alleni Belinda in this camp and by then she was 20years old. She is described as a beautiful, hardworking and humble girl who caught Philemon's attention. He totally fell in love with her up to the extent that whenever it was Philemon's turn to sleep with her, which was a normal thing in that camp, Philemon would refuse to sleep with her and instead advise her produce mourning sounds to decieve the other that the are in the act.Philemon's love for Belinda over time begins too dangerous because whenever he sees her with any male, it always turn to a quarrel or fight which would always be cooled down by flogging but with time, Philemon becomes immune to flogging.

One fine morning, Philemon decides to take the girls to fetch water and as always what involves Belinda delights Philemon. From a valley and up on top of a hill and down below, the lovebirds consumed by a cloud of stories, travel with getting tired.And when they come to the river, the lovebirds make a clean escape and tells the other girls to run for their lives. The lovebirds run through out the day until evening that they come about an army barracks where the are taken in and after a long time of interrogation, they are identified as the children who were being looked for from Uganda and so message is sent to Uganda and through the Ugandan embassy, they are returned home to safety and this time around, Philemon's parents welcome him in an emotional way which they had never shown before.

Two years later, Philemon's Mom falls sick, suffering from breast cancer and she grows terribly ill and when time comes for her to go, she calls for Philemon to apologize for not giving him what he desires and advises him to get out and explore the world and then she dies. The family greatly mourns the fallen.

CHAPTER TWO.

Years later, Philemon's Dad becomes a drunkard who still mourns his fallen wife but Philemon has moved on and is now in a serious relationship with Alleni Belinda whom he meets in a coffee shop,years after their separation and soon they begin to live together but when Philemon's Dad finds out about this, he rejects her, plainly starting that she has no class and should a classless person like herself.Deaf to his words, Philemon insists on being with her but when Philemon's Dad dies mysterious in his sleep and a postmortem shows that he is being poisoned, all evidence points to Belinda..
