"According to his plan, Hamlet begins to act strangely. He rejects Ophelia, while Claudius and Polonius, the royal attendant, spy on him. They had hoped to find the reason for Hamlet's sudden change in behavior but could not. Claudius summons Guildenstern and Rosencrantz, old friends of Hamlet to find out what's got into him. Their arrival coincides with a group of traveling actors that Hamlet happens to know well. Hamlet writes a play that includes scenes that mimic the murder of Hamlet's father. During rehearsal, Hamlet and the actors' plot to present Hamlet's play before the King and Queen." Beauty pause as she stares at me. "Are you alright?" She asked. "The story is making me emotional," I replied. "I was also like this when I first read it. I even watch the movie and lord knows I cried and didn't eat for two nights." She starts to laugh. "But I hope that someone isn't going through this type of tragic romance because it will be hard if they are going through it." "Do u think it's real?" Ava asked. "What?" Beaty focused on her. "The tragic romance? Whereby, one lover died in other to save the other?" She finished. "Ava, I think it is true." Beauty said. "I don't believe in these things. I can't die for my boyfriend." Ava said. "No one asked you to do that and besides, this type of love is really rare," I said to her. "Oh, okay guys, let's continue... Act III, At the performance, Hamlet watches Claudius closely to see how he reacts. The play provokes Claudius, and he interrupts the action by storming out. He immediately resolves to send Hamlet away. Hamlet is summoned by his distressed mother, Gertrude, and on the way, he happens upon Claudius kneeling and attempting to pray. Hamlet reasons that to kill the King now would only send his soul to heaven rather than hell. Hamlet decides to spare his life for the time being." "Polonius hides in Gertrude's room to protect her from her unpredictable son. When Hamlet arrives to scold his mother, she hears Polonius moving behind the arras (a kind of tapestry). He stabs the tapestry and, in so doing, kills Polonius. The ghost of Hamlet's father reappears and warns his son not to delay revenge or upset his mother." "Hamlet killed Ophelia's father." "He killed the father of his lover?" Ava asked. "Now that is tragic." "Yh, it is," I said. My mind wasn't even in the book anymore but I had to listen. "In Act IV, Hamlet is sent to England, supposedly as an ambassador, just as King Fortinbras of Norway crosses Denmark with an army to attack Poland. During his journey, Hamlet discovers Claudius has a plan to have him killed once he arrives. He returns to Denmark alone, sending his companions Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to their deaths in his place. Rejected by Hamlet, Ophelia is now desolate at the loss of her father. She goes mad and drowns." "She finally found out her lover killed her father?" I asked. Trying to make sure I was still focusing on what she was saying. "Yap and in Act V, On the way back to Denmark, Hamlet meets Horatio in the graveyard (along with a gravedigger), where they talk of the chances of life and death. Ophelia's funeral procession arrives at the very same graveyard. Hamlet confronts Laertes, Ophelia's brother, who has taken his father's place at the court. A duel is arranged between Hamlet and Laertes. During the match, Claudius conspires with Laertes to kill Hamlet. They plan that Hamlet will die either on a poisoned rapier or with poisoned wine. The plans go awry when Gertrude unwittingly drinks from the poisoned cup and dies. Then both Laertes and Hamlet are wounded by the poisoned blade, and Laertes dies. Hamlet, in his death throes, kills Claudius. Hamlet dies, leaving only his friend Horatio to explain the truth to the new king, Fortinbras, as he returns in victory from the Polish wars. The end." "Phew." Ava heaved a sigh. "I wasn't expecting it to end this way but if I was Shakespeare, I would have let Hamlet and Ophelia be together and live happily ever after." "I won't do that. He killed her father" Beauty said. "By mistake." Ava corrected. My mind wasn't in their conversation anymore. The light in the library started to blink. I looked outside the window and saw something. Not what I was expecting or was I daydreaming? It was a boy that have the same resemblance as Chase Parker. He was talking to a girl in front of the school building. My heart started to beat very fast, faster than normal. That's not possible, he died. I watched Chase die in my arms. I watched him vanish. I stood up immediately and ran out of the library without my bag. All I wanted that moment was to face Chase and hug him and tell him how much I missed him but was he, Chase Parker? He had to be. It's hard to be him. I could feel it. He was my Chase Parker and the love we had was strong enough. Too bad he won't recognize me. it's been two years. Two lonely years for me. I had to cope. I had to live for a reason because I knew he was coming back. I ran out of the library and ran to the same spot I saw him earlier through the window. "Chase!" I called. "Chase!!" I called again. Was already losing my mind. It was as if I was going mad. I searched around as if I was looking for a pin. As if I was looking for something smaller. A part of me had been torn apart and I desperately wanted it back. I desperately wanted him back at all costs. I want to feel alive again. I don't want my story to end like Romeo and Juliet or even Hamlet. I wanted a happy ever after. He wasn't there anymore but I could still smell him. It was still the same. I bent down and started crying. If I had shown up a minute before, I could have met him. I failed. Again. Ava and Beauty ran towards me. Breathless. "Is she okay?" Beauty asked Ava. They didn't know but I didn't look okay. "She is crying Beauty. Bring her bag, I will carry it for her." I stood up and wiped the tears rolling down my cheeks. "I'm fine guys." I pretended as if everything was alright. "You don't look fine Inez. Was it the story?" Ava asked with concern in her eyes this time. "No Ava. It's something you won't understand but I am fine now. Let's go." I said as I collected my bag from her. Beauty walked and stopped in front of me. I looked at her. "I'm fine." "You know, I believe witches and creatures exist." Beauty said. Trying to make me feel better and by just hearing her say that, it did make me feel better. "Oh no, don't start that topic." Ava rolled her eyes. Trying not to discuss that again. "Ava doesn't believe it Beauty. You are wasting your time." I said to Beauty who shook her head. Funny thing was, I wasn't feeling beauty's Aura. I wasn't and it was strange. Ava Aura was simple and clear but Beauty's own was complicated. "At least you do. I knew this sounds crazy but they also exist amongst us and this has been going on for centuries now. I was making research about that kind of creatures and dark magic and I found this." She brought out a book from her bag and handed it over to me. I looked at it for a short period before collecting it from her. I collected it and opened it. The same symbols I and Denise used to fight King Cane were also in the book. I was shocked. That book was distorted that same day when my father died. I watched it burn to ashes. Bookie was given back to the council and I haven't heard from them since then. Who is this girl? I asked myself. No wonder I couldn't feel her aura. She was strange. I couldn't feel any aura about her. And she knows too much. Much more than Denise does. "Do u believe in resurrection?" I asked her. "You don't mean Jesus?" Ava asked trying to feel among. Just so we could know she was still with us. "The f**k?" Beauty asked. Ava flipped her hair. "What? I read my bible." I shook my head. She was joking. "Yes, I do believe in resurrection but I have not witnessed one before." The beauty replied as she collected her book from my hand. "I haven't either but something tragic happened to me in NYC, making me lose the love of my life. Chase Parker. I thought I saw him here that's why I ran out here and cried when he disappeared. It's been two years since he died and our love story was tragic." "Maybe it's just in your head Inez," Ava said. She still couldn't believe what I said. She thought I was making up stories. "You are being paranoid." "I am not Paranoid Ava and you don't understand anything okay?!!" I shouted at her and walked away. She just couldn't see what was going on. Is it until I show her my fang before she beloved Vampire existence? I promised myself not to be reckless. People mustn't know I was not fully human unless it would be chaos and I didn't want that. My secret had been licked to the demons hunters and they are coming back for me.
