50 You're jealous of him?

552 Words
Cole fell asleep before he could get Kevin's reply. Staring at his fast-asleep son, Chase sat by the bed, "Kindergarten is new to you. I know you can't get used to it. But you're a smart boy. You'll get along with those new people one day." Saying that, he touched his wounded little cheek, "You'll get better. My son is always the best…" Kevin kept pretending that he was asleep. Chase bent down and pressed a kiss on his forehead, tugging his blanket in and leaving the room. Staring at the closed door, Kevin suddenly realized that his dad still loved him no matter how harsh he was with him. He grabbed his phone and deleted the text he was gonna send Cole. … Lola prepared the breakfast, waking her babies up. Monna didn't need Lola to call her name for the second time. Lola only needed to take the freshly baked tray of bread out of the oven and she would jump out of her bed, running for the kitchen. Mia was always the last one to come. She needed to make sure her face and hair were both flawless. Cole was already sitting by the table, distributing plates and forks for his younger sisters, "Are we having chocolate milk today? Kevin loves chocolate milk the best." Lola paused for a second as she heard Kevin's name, "I wonder if he's happy lately or not… Did he even go to the kindergarten?" "He did. He went to Evon," Cole answered. Mia sounded a bit surprised, "Daddy is so rich." "You're jealous of him? Why don't you go live with dad?" "Stop saying that! I would never leave Mommy no matter how rich Daddy is!" Monna wiped the cheese off her mouth, "That's right. I'll also stay with Mommy." "Alright, kids, just have your breakfast. Or you all will be late for school," Lola sighed. After breakfast, she sent her babies to their kindergarten. When she was on her road back, she suddenly thought of what Cole said about Kevin. So she decided to drop by Evon, checking on Kevin to see if he'd got used to the new environment. When she finally arrived at the place, she saw Kevin getting out of an Audi, little head drooping. "Hurry up!" An impatient voice yelled behind Kevin's back, "Can you move faster?" Who the heck was that? Lola went frozen. She looked into the car and saw a fashionable young woman, staring at Kevin with disgust. Kevin was walking away, but she was still complaining behind the boy's back, "Stop fighting, brat! You made it humiliating for me to send you to school!" What the heck? Where did this stupid w***e jump out of? Eye boring into that repulsive face, Lola suddenly remembered who she was. She was that woman she had seen at the airport… She had been with Chase back then, forcing her babies to apologize. Judging from what she just said, it was not her first time sending Kevin to kindergarten. Did Chase ask her to do this? But why would he let a woman like this send his son to school? What the heck was wrong with him? Kevin looked so unhappy as he dragged his feet to the school. What had her poor boy gone through these days?
