41 You didn't hide her up, did you?

634 Words
Back to the mansion? Lola stared at the man before her in bewilderment. She couldn't even walk on pavement, but he expected her to walk on pebbles with bare feet? "What do you want?" Lola gritted through her teeth. "You can take your time. One day or two days, it all depends on you." "I hate you!" "You're welcome," with that, Chase turned away, walking back along the pebbled path. "Hey! Stop! Don't you dare leave me here! You bastard!" Chase didn't even stop to look back. Lola felt the rage churning in her chest. She looked down and saw bandages on her feet. If she really walked down like this… Lola took a couple of steps tentatively. It felt like walking on knives. Gripping the hem of her shirt, she couldn't stop cursing, "Chase Dalton, you're such an asshole! I hate you! I freaking hate you!" What should she do? Kevin and Cole must be looking for her. But they were too tiny. What could they do? Lola suddenly felt extremely desperate. No one would be able to help her when she was trapped in nowhere. This was Chase Dalton's place after all. She sighed and collapsed against a rock, musing, "I can't give up right now. I must find a way to get myself out of this… Think. Just think…" Chase went back to the living room and met Cameron's curious eyes, "Where did you take that pretty lady to?" "None of your business," Chase cast him one glance and went back to his study. "You didn't hide her up, did you?" Cameron smiled. Kevin walked out of his bedroom the next minute, walking briskly toward his dad's study as well. "Hey! What's up, buddy?" Cameron tried to talk to his nephew. But the boy ignored him downright. Where did he become so cold again? Cameron was so confused as he followed the boy to the study. Kevin was standing across his dad, confronting, "Where's Madam Dussa?" "Why do want to see her?" "Where did you take her?" "Go back to mind your business, Kevin," Chase snapped. "I NEED TO SEE HER!" Kevin showed no sign of giving up. The furrow between Chase's brows deepened. Why would Kevin care about that woman this much? Was he yelling at him because of that woman? Was this still the boy he brought up? But those treatments had been performed under his watch. He didn't remember Swain played any tricks. Damn it! "Go back," Chase warned. Kevin knew his father. Arguing with him was just a waste of time. He should find Dussa himself. The boy turned away, stomping off out of the study. Cameron had witnessed the whole thing. He wanted to comfort his little nephew. But the boy just ignored him as he walked straight into his bedroom, slamming the door behind him. "He's just like his old man," Cameron shrugged. "What are you saying?" Cameron went frozen as he turned to face Chase stiffly, "Yo! my bro! I said the boy was just like his old man… an organic boss!" Organic… Chase's lips twitched, "Cameron, can you do me a favor now?" "What?" "Please disappear, now." "No prob. But can I disappear after lunch? If you don't let me stay for lunch, I'll tell Mom and Dad that you bullied me, that you played something kinky with that pretty lady." "Sure," Chase bit the sentence out, "I'll tell the kitchen to prepare you a BIG MEAL." Cameron didn't realize the tone Chase used when he said "big meal", smiling and nodding like a golden retriever. In Kevin's bedroom, Cole and Kevin had been discussing the solution to the whole thing. "Should I go ask him?" Cole mused. "You?" "Yeah. I'll pretend that I was you. But you need to hide up, Kevin!"
