Lola couldn't help but stare at his handsome side profile. She felt her heart was doing backflips nonstop. His features were as chiseled as a Greek God's. No wonder all the girls in this city were crazy for him. But he was such a cold fish. Lola always failed to detect a single trace of emotion in his eyes.

"Why do you keep staring at me?" Chase's deep voice interrupted Lola's reverie. Lola coughed, "Why are you carrying me though?"
"You'll see soon," Chase cast her a side glance, noticing her long lashes were trembling because of fear. Her skin was perfect and her body was deeply perfumed. Even Chase hated to admit it, but this woman was still stunning.
But she had abandoned him and his son, marrying another guy…
Thinking of that, Chase went angry, picking up his steps. "Mr. Foreman! Where are you taking me?" Lola was a bit panicked at this point. Was he gonna lock her up? Or…
Wild guesses started to flash across Lola's mind. Chase didn't say a single thing as his face went darker. He looked quite intimidating when he wasn't talking.
"Chase Dalton… What do you want?"
"You're scared?" The man let out a cold smirk.
"If you dare to do anything to harm me, Kevin will hate you for the rest of his life."
"Did you tell Kevin that you were his mom?" Chase's voice was dripping with raw anger.
"No!" Lola swallowed. She answered too fast. She was low-key scared of being thrown into the pond, "How long are you gonna carry me?"
"We'll be there soon…" Chase didn't stop.
Lola checked out her surrounding nervously, "Are we gonna climb that artificial mountain?" There was a huge pile of rocks in the middle of the pond in Dalton's backyard. And the little mountain was about 12 yards tall. Was Chase gonna took her to the top of the mountain and throw her into the pond? Did he really have to do this?
When Chase put her down on top of the mountain, Lola's eyes were still squeezed shut.
Chase's cold voice sounded by her ear, "Now, Miss Swain, please enjoy your walk all the way back to the mansion."
Lola's eyes snapped open in rage. What the heck was wrong with this man?
