Chase snatched the phone away, bellowing, "Swain! Where did you take my son?"
"… Kevin is safe with me. I'll send him back later."
"You send him back right now!" Chase clenched his teeth.
"He's having fun. I don't want to interrupt it," Lola answered coldly.
"Don't toy with me, Swain. Or I'll feed you to my dogs!"
He sounded extremely serious on the other side of the phone. Lola shuddered. Feeding her to dogs?
Was he a sociopath?
She could even imagine how pissed off Chase was right now, knowing she couldn't afford to mess with him.
Kevin was oblivious about what was happening, having his meal happily. Lola decided to send him back once he finished the meal.

Lola straightened herself a little as she faced the man before her, "Mr. Dalton, can we talk? I need to discuss with you the kindergarten Kevin goes to."
Chase's eyes were cold and stern, "You want to talk about Kevin with me? Who are you to do that?" His tone was as scornful as usual. Lola knew he meant to say that she didn't deserve to be Kevin's mother. But she didn't care.
"I know I'm not deserved to have Kevin back. But that woman you sent to guard Kevin is still not qualified."
She was talking about Susan?
Chase snorted, "She's at last better than you."

What the heck was wrong with this man? That woman treated her son like a piece of s**t! How could Chase even say that?
"Mr. Dalton, I know you won't believe me. But you should at least ask Kevin."
"Dad, I don't want Susan to send me anymore. I don't like her."
"Did you hear that? Those kids are bullying him in school. Just let him change his kindergarten. I'll send him to school and pick him up every day…"
If Kevin went to the same kindergarten with her other babies, she could take care of them.
