43 Was he delusional?

Kevin wanted him to find her? Cameron looked at the boy in bewilderment, "She's just a doctor. I don't understand why you care about her so much." She was not just a doctor. She was mommy! Cole rolled his eyes secretly. "You're not curious how my dad is gonna treat her?" Cameron suddenly remembered what that woman said about Chase. She'd got some backbones. But… She sort of deserved what she got. No one dared to talk to Chase that way. "Well… This is actually none of my business. Besides, your dad hates it when other people interfere with his problem…" "Uncle Cameron, you're the best uncle in the world. Why don't you just do me a favor? Pleeeeease!" Cameron didn't know how to turn down a cute and clingy four years old. "…Fine! I'll do it! I'll help you find her!" "You're the best! Thank you!" Cole went back to the bedroom, telling Kevin about what happened after he left Chase's study. Kevin looked a bit surprised, "Why did you send Cameron to look for her." "He's the only one who's willing to help. I can't expose myself. If you go out to search for her, those maids will definitely inform Daddy. He will probably lock us up!" Cole's analysis sounded solid. Kevin didn't say anything after hearing it, but he didn't seem happy as well. Cole didn't mind, knowing Kevin just had Chase's personality. One hour later, someone knocked on the door. Cole hid into the closet instantly, Kevin went to open the door. "Why are you here?" Kevin frowned at Cameron before him. Cameron frowned back. Kevin begged him to find that woman a couple of minutes ago, but now he acted like they'd never met. "Kevin, can you be nice to your uncle? I'm not your enemy," Cameron tried to talk some sense into the boy. The boy only got impatient, "Can you tell me why you're here and leave?" What an arrogant little bastard, Cameron thought to himself. “Call me uncle Cameron. Call me again and I’ll tell you where she is,” Cameron arched an eyebrow, arms crossed before his chest. “Fine! Wait...” Kevin bit it out, slamming the door on his face. Cameron went dumbfounded. What the heck was this? Did he just shut him out? Cameron was a bit pissed off as he rapped against the door, “I won’t help you ever again! You mannerless brat!” Before he could walk away, the door suddenly swayed open behind his back. Cole dashed forward and stopped Cameron in his way, smiling. Cameron stared at the huge smile on the boy’s face, completely puzzled. One minute ago, this little brat had still treated him with downright rudeness, but now, he just acted like none of that had ever happened... Was he delusional? “Uncle, do you know where Madam Dussa is?” Cole asked, one chubby hand searching for Cameron’s big hand. Cameron took a couple of steps back alert, his eyes speaking distrust, “Why did you shut the door on my face, Kevin?” Well... He couldn’t tell him that it was not him back then, could he? Cole went silent for a while and decided to make up a relatively persuasive reason. His brain was spinning like crazy as his eyes darted left and right, "I um... I actually saw my dad walk down from the stairs back then. I shut the door because I didn't wanna talk to him.” “Really?” Cameron narrowed his eyes suspiciously, doubting what the boy told him. If that was the case, why didn’t he hear any footfalls back then? “Really!” Cole nodded eagerly as he clasped one little fist on the hem of Cameron’s shirt, “Could you tell me where is Dussa now, uncle Cameron?”
