65 Chase, your son has changed so much

566 Words
Cole and Kevin planned all this so Nanny would grow to like Mommy. Grandma would even arrange Mommy a job in Daddy's company in the end. So they would finally have a chance to get along with each other. But if Grandma found out that Daddy hated Mommy, would she still do that? What to do… At the same time, Lola also felt her heart was gonna jump out of her mouth. That devil would definitely make things ugly in front of everyone. Kate urged Cole to tell Chase. Cole could only walk out of the room, head dropping. However, the moment he walked out of the room, he saw his daddy's long legs. Shoot… Chase came upstairs. Cole didn't even call him. Mommy was so unfortunate. Chase noticed the look on Cole's face, frowning, "What's wrong?" "No-Nothing… You want to see Grandma, Daddy?" Chase nodded, "Your grandpa said she's having some sort of treatment. I want to take a look and make sure she's okay." Before he could walk into the room, Cole held onto his one leg. "What's wrong?" Chase looked down at the boy clinging onto his leg. "You can't get in now, Daddy." "Why is that?" Chase was a bit confused. Cole forced out a smile, "Well… It's inconvenient. Nanny only has her pajamas on right now. You taught me to be a gentleman. Maybe we can come in later. Why-Why don't you go downstairs to play chess with Grandpa? He said he missed you…" Chase thought for a pause, "Well then. I'll come up later." Cole let out a breath seeing his dad going downstairs. He ran back to the bedroom, "Nanny, Daddy is talking to Grandpa. He said he would come up later." Kate was surprised, "Your dad doesn't talk too much with your Grandpa usually… Why did he…" Cole shrugged. After the treatment, Lola told Kate that she needed to lie down for 30 minutes before she collected her kit and walked out of the bedroom. She and Cole talked for a short while. Both of them decided that Lola should sneak out of the mansion before Chase could realize anything. Lola really didn't want to see that devil's face anymore. She mussed with Cole's furry head as she sighed inwardly. This was her boy indeed. No one knew her better than he did… Cole went downstairs to distract Chase, so Lola could use the time to sneak out of the house. 10 minutes later, Cole thought his mommy must have sneaked out of the house. So he asked Chase to go upstairs to check on Grandma. "When did you become so restless lately, Kevin?" Chase frowned. "Grandma asked about you. You really need to check her out," Cole whined. Cameron shook his head, "Chase, your son has changed so much. What did you do to him? He was not like this before…" Cameron blurted that out without a second thought. But his words made Chase suspicious. Kevin did change a lot. Sometimes, Chase would also wonder. Cole flinched a little under his dad's steady gaze. Would Dad find out that he was not his Kevin? Unlikely. He and Kevin looked exactly the same. Even Chase demanded a gene test, he would still be his son… Chase would never know if he never told. Thinking of that, the boy looked up, smiling, "Dad, why are you staring at me?"
