Kevin nodded.
After getting their clothes exchanged, Cole gave Kevin an address. Kevin found Cole's kindergarten very fast.
Cole was sent to stand in the corner because of what Kevin had done. He felt his legs were sore. He thus made up his mind that he must find a way to persuade the teacher to lift the punishment.
After the class, Cole remembered that Kevin had mentioned a woman called Susan before. Kevin had said this Susan would come to pick him up every day, warning Cole to be careful because she was pretty toxic.
Cole couldn't wait to see this woman who bullied his brother. He wanted to teach her a lesson.
When he walked out of the gate, he saw a woman walking out of a shining car, standing there like a supermodel, arms folded, "Did you get yourself in trouble today? Did you fight anyone like a little punk again?"
Cole thought for a pause, "No, Miss Fox. I've been acting good today. Why would I fight anyone?"
Miss Fox?
Susan was shocked hearing Cole calling her that way. He had never called her "Miss Fox" before. What happened to him?
There must be something wrong with this brat. He'd always been so rude… What made him change?
"Miss Fox, let's get in the car and go home," Saying that, Cole climbed into the car. Susan couldn’t recover from the shock for a long while before getting into the car as well.
Cole was secretly happy as he noticed the way he acted just caught Susan off guard. Kevin told him this woman was good at acting and a massive hypocrite. Maybe he could get back at her using her way, tit for tat.
"Miss Fox, why are you staring at me?" Cole blinked, pretending to be innocent.
Susan huffed, "Why do you suddenly act like a decent human being? Do you finally realize that I'm gonna be your stepmother no matter what?"
"You can say that," Cole smiled.
"Humph, you're not that stupid after all. Be good and I'll leave you alone. When your dad and I get married, you need to live with your grandparents. It's only the best for everyone."
This woman was rotten.
She wanted to marry Daddy and kick Kevin out of his house.
She wouldn't get what she wanted.
Cole smiled brightly, "Don't worry, ma'am. I'll do as you say."
Susan laughed coldly. Kevin was just a boy. She knew he wouldn't be that tough.
…
Cole jumped off the car when it pulled over before the mansion. He hadn't seen Daddy for days. He missed him so much. Susan also followed his steps. She wouldn't waste any chance to see Chase. Mr. Smith was quite happy to see Kevin, "Your father is not back yet."
Daddy was not home? What a pity. He still had a wonderful show to present to him. Cole sighed.
He turned and saw that woman was still standing there. She didn't look like she was gonna leave soon.
Cole thought for a second, "Miss Fox, why don't you stay for dinner?"
This was a great chance to make her expose her true face.
Susan looked up in surprise. Did this brat just keep her for dinner?
As shocked as she was, Susan still wouldn't waste any chance to see Chase.
"Is this really okay?" Susan faked a sheepish smile.
Mr. Smith was also surprised by the way Kevin acted. But since his young master had said so, he couldn't say otherwise, "Sure. Please do stay for the dinner, Miss Fox. I'll inform the kitchen…"
